Tonight the U20’s Development team hosted Tynecastle U20’s
After last week we have taken on a few new structures to help out the setup.
Obviously this being the first game to try it out would be a task in its self, but throughout the game we could see how well it will work out.
Tynecastle are another good strong team and we witnessed some real battles out under the lights tonight.
Unfortunately we had another spell where we just switched off and lost 3 goals in 5 mins. If we can stop those lapses we would be competing in games.
We did however fight to try get back into the game
And with Tynecastle losing a player with a straight Red, this did also help us. Before we started creating chances though The opposition played another long ball over our defence for us to go 4 down, the remainder of the half though was certainly much more controlled.
Unfortunately we succumbed to a few injuries and a few lads feeling unwell. But all the substitutes played a part and kept the physical game going.
Tynecastle played their long ball game well and caught us another twice breaking through the defence on 57’ and in the last minute to finish the game 0-6
Well done Tynecastle, and we hope your Goalkeeper recovers from his nasty knee injury.
Next week we are again at home v Dunbar United, whom we played in a pre season friendly. Another quality team where we will again be pushed to the limits.
But the lads are learning and gelling and something good will come soon.
