Jack Bloor Race and Fund. Jack Bloor Fell races, are held annually (next race Tues 12th May 2026) on Ilkley Moor. All the info on the website

All the profits from the Race go to the Fund which helps young Yorkshire sportspeople achieve their dreams. The Jack Bloor Races and Fund was established in 1985 to commemorate the life of Jack Bloor. Jack is a local legend, a pioneering fell runner and climber who also orienteered, caved and cycled. Former chairman of the Yorkshire BMC, helped start the Three Peaks Fell Race (which he won 1956) a

nd coached World Class orienteers. The annual Fell Races (affiliated to the FRA), consist of five junior and one senior which are held on Ilkley Moor. All the profits from these races go to the Jack Bloor Fund which awards grants to young people who want to improve their physical and/or technical skills in any recognised outdoor adventure sport. Applications are welcome all year and are available on the website.

at the age of 20 became the youngest person to climb Ama Dablam Solo
Wow what an achievement at such a young age 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

He attempted to summit on three occasions using the skills learnt from his training course supported by the Jack Bloor Fund.

We have supported .c1arke throughout his career, we wish him continued success as a senior 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Once again, thank you to the Jack Bloor Award for supporting me in attending my last Junior World Champs in Germany, Arber. I had some good improvements in my performance from previous years at the champs, especially in the shooting element of biathlon where I was a top 15 overall from the championships. Looking forward to the summer of training ahead before I start my senior career in biathlon.
