We are heartbroken to share the news of the sudden passing of our men’s football manager Tim O’Sullivan.
The thoughts of everyone involved in Tomás MacCurtains GAA are with his wife Jackie and sons Finn & Fergus, the wider O’Sullivan family both in Britain and back in Kerry, and all those who had the pleasure of calling him a friend at this difficult time.
A true Gael and a proud Kerryman, Tim had been involved in the club for over 10 years, having been an integral part of our underage set up. He coached the Macs of tomorrow including both Finn & Fergus, as well as multiple other current and ex-players. Tim also volunteered his time to lead Gaelic football sessions at schools throughout East London & Essex for several years.
He was part of the South London coaching team that won two All-Ireland medals at Féile for teams including MacCurtains players, bringing glory to the club and memories that will last a lifetime for all involved.
Tim joined the men’s management in 2022 as a selector, before stepping up to become manager of the team a year later. He gave an extraordinary amount of his time and commitment to Tomás MacCurtains, instilling his love for the club and Gaelic football into all who had the pleasure of knowing him. We will miss him greatly.
