You don't need to be a member of Hungerford Rugby Club, and the sessions are totally free.

HRFC are pleased to invite any boy in school years 7 - 12 to Summer fitness and rugby training. Bundles of fun, incredible welcoming environment ALL SUMMER LONG!! Whether you're 6 Nations ready, or a total newbie, you'll be welcomed by the team. Every Wednesday 18:30 from June 24th onwards, completely free and ran by RFU qualified coaches. Another great night up at the club, celebrating the End of Season for our Junior age groups. For the first year in the club's history, we have three girls' age groups. We also celebrated a fantastic year for our Colts - with the icing on the cake hearing that six of our u17s made county, with a few of them in the squad to play Gloucestershire today. 11 Colts in total made the Berks set up this season, which is pretty cool!!

Today the Hungerford U11s travelled to London to take part in a Festival at the Ealing Trailfinders rugby club. In the morning, they played in a tournament against 6 other teams which took part on the training pitch and the 1st pitch. It was hot and sunny and five of the games were back-to-back. We were also without a sub so all the players were dead on their feet by the end of the last game. It was really tough rugby against some very strong opposition but they gave it their all and defended heroically. Then after a break for some much-needed food they were involved in the Guard of Honour for the professional players before watching the Trailfinders vs Bedford Blues. After the match they were back on the pitch to meet some of the players and get their medal lanyards autographed. They all had an amazing day with so many brilliant memories. We got to watch some cracking rugby, which will hopefully inspire our players to keep developing their love of rugby. TREDS was in abundance throughout the day and it was a real credit to the game of Rugby as well as a fantastic way to end a brilliant season for the U11s.

We had a lovely End of Season last night with our mini's age groups. It's amazing to see the impact rugby has on children, in terms of building friendships, understanding teamwork and of course spending regular time outside. We couldn't do any of this without our fabulous Coaches, TMs, First Aiders and all the other volunteers and parental support!
Tonight we celebrate with our Juniors age groups!

What a way to round off the season at Hungerford Rugby Club!

An action-packed final weekend saw all our teams doing us proud:

U7s had an absolutely brilliant day at Basingstoke Festival - winning three, drawing one, and losing one. The strongest opposition they’ve faced all season, but every player more than held their own!

U11s also enjoyed a fantastic Basingstoke Festival, winning 3 out of 4 games against strong opposition. A great team effort all round!

Hurricanes had an unforgettable first tour to Swanage - raft building, beach rugby, and two matches. After a tough opener, they finished in style with a 33–12 win over their hosts!

U14 Warriors ended their season on a high with a superb 69–15 win away at RWB. Showing true sportspersonship and brilliant team spirit.

U12 boys took on the heat and tough competition at the London Irish International Festival, showing resilience and teamwork throughout. A big thanks to the Thatcham lads who joined the squad!

U16 Girls were in action at the Banbury 10s - a brilliantly organised tournament with around 750 girls playing rugby! A standout moment saw our tighthead prop break through and charge half the length of the pitch… unforgettable stuff!

That’s a wrap on the season - and what a season it’s been! We are looking forward to our End of Season Awards on 8th and 9th May.
