Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Rackstraw!

At the weekend, Genies had the pleasure of witnessing the marriage of Georgia and Alex.

Doesnโ€™t Georgia look beautiful ๐Ÿ’• and Alex also scrubs up well out of his rugby kit too!

We all had a brilliant time ,and thank Georgia and Alex for including us in their special day.

Also both sets of family were lovely, with both taking time to get to know us all and understand our wonderful worlds of Netball!

Georgia has been an integral part of defence in both the winter and summer leagues for Genies 1, and has made her mark collecting several player of the match accolades week in and week out!

Alex also has secret netball connections and is developing his newly found passion in mixed netball - watch this space, he is already a powerhouse on court!

We know that Georgia and Alex have a wonderful future ahead and wish them the very best x

Today we attended the Huddersfield Netball Leagueโ€™s annual tournament. ๐Ÿ

Genies registered one team, representing a mixture of players squad wide.

We donโ€™t play together often, so it was nice to be on court as one.

Gee - Gee got the double!

To our girl who keeps on giving, Georgia Glancey has been unstoppable during the summer league regularly picking up an umpires player of the match and players player - this week she got both!

G1 tried their best against Hi Tech B, but were unable to secure another win.

We felt that our team remained united on court, and gave a valiant effort throughout

Another win last week for G2 making it a full house for the Genies squad!

Another full team effort with another standout performance from Rebecca Louise Walker - she really has defined her defensive spot - so shooters beware - she was our umpires choice this week - no words apart from phenomenal ๐Ÿฅฐ

Players player went to Sarah Molly ๐Ÿฅฐ. Captain Kelly Marie shared :

Sarah played centre fantastically for the whole match and work rate was brilliant never giving up in attack and defensive! Some lovely work with WA and shooterโ€™s feeding into circle and communication and defensively trying to stop play round the circle edge in particular
but all down court xx

Last week Genies 2 faced a determined Hepworth C side

Playing them the first time around, the Hepworth ladies finished strong with a finish placing our girls in a goal deficit of 24 goals

This time round, our B team had a plan and came with a strong challenge

Genies led the first half of the game with 2 goals up, but Hepworth chipped away and managed to make it 2 out of 2 winning the match at the final whistle by 6 goals.

Credit has to be taken by defence and it is of no surprise that Rebecca Louise Walker had yet another phenomenal performance during no the match - she claims another player of the game - ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’•

Players player went to the second teams vice captain Kelly Marie.

Kelly displayed strong body management & balance when marking the shots going up, and was relentless when man marking of GS according to Captain Staci Marie

Whilst we lost this match we are happy with the outcome and impressive improved performance, which continues to showcase the development of the team

So after a well deserved Easter break we are back with a bang!

After losing to Portland Flames the first time around, this time we beat them with the score the opposite way around!

A champion effort from the team who absolutely completed all requirements of our quarter time team talks to perfection!

We even found our new โ€œthingโ€ to rejuvenate us at the end of each q and I hope it sticks

Prior to our return tonight, we played a couple of games that I havenโ€™t managed to update you all on but the scores are summarised below.
