On a personal note, as our usual venue was not available we were at milnsbridge the old YMCA building. Back in 1995, this exact venue was where 15 year old me started playing for my first team. Rocking up in my mates 5 door Ford Orion. Many friends I met then i am still in touch with, many things I learnt then I still use now! Basketball will always be more than just bouncing a ball to me, it’s the social side. I’ve watched the kids making the same friendships I made outside of their usual group, the discipline, the learning, but most of all (if anyone has seen me coaching) It’s the fun.

A nice turn out last night, I’m honestly not jealous of the missing few who were no doubt heading off on their first holiday of the year! Weather is finally getting better, perfect time to be dragging parents to the park!
