Today both of our teams play Shelley CC in the penultimate game of the season. The 1XI take on Shelley at home as the 2XI make the trip away.

As we approach the end of the season, the weather has turned, groundsman are praising the saying their thanks and the overseas players are starting to realise this is actually what English weather is, our 1XI make the trip to Barkisland and the 2XI host Almondbury Wes.

Hopefully the weather holds off and we can get some cricket in.

We are raising funds to provide changing and showering facilities for Women and girls to play cricket at our club.

Cricket is becoming popular with girls at our club. The passion is there, what’s missing is the space and facilities at Broad Oak.

Without suitable facilities Women and Girls are being held back from fully taking part, not because of ability, but because the environment wasn’t built with them in mind. This is what we are going to change.

Your support will help us create a safe welcoming, fully equipped space where Girls and Women can;

🏏 PLAYER SHOUTOUT 📣

This weekends fixtures saw two of our players contribute hugely to a win against Hall Bower CC.

The first half of the match saw Ryley Clayton get his first 1XI 💯 off just 58 balls, hitting 9 4’s and 7 6’s. Giving the bowlers something to bowl at in the second half.

Noah Brook then stepped up with Hall Bower 60/1 and inflicted a damaging spell of 7/28 and clinched the victory. Also, getting himself onto this weeks Yorkshire Bowling honours board!

Fantastic effort from two of our break through players this season!
