Full time Amazons 1-1 Alnwick.

Another hard working competitive match for the blues today, some really good football on display at a very warm Kepier this afternoon!
We opened the scoring with some lovely forward play, Gill finished it off brilliantly to give us the lead, Alnwick equalised not long before the end after a foul in the box, the Alnwick player tucked the penalty away.

Another positive performance as we move closer to the start of the season.

Game day! Our Last home pre season game!

We play our final Home pre season friendly this weekend as we welcome Alnwick Town Ladies Reserves to the Kepier Academy.

We look forward to another test on home soil in preparation for the upcoming season.

Here are some highlights from yesterdays game against Rutherford Ladies! ⚽️🦋💙

Full time - Amazons 1-3 Rutherford Ladies.

A really good run out for a big squad today, some really valuable minutes on the pitch in our second preseason friendly against a team competing in the top half of the North East Regional league!

We played some really good, front foot attacking football and opened the scoring with a great finish from Gill, moments of fatigue showed towards the end of the first half and we went into half time at 1-1.
Second half was much of the same, with some really good football on display, Rutherford came out the second half strong and direct, as tired legs set in Rutherford capitalised scoring a further 2 goals.

Overall a really positive performance against a physical Rutherford side!
We train again midweek as we look to our 3rd preseason friendly against Alnwick Reserves on Sunday.

Another joint award this week..
Rach - Rach stepped into goal for us again this weekend and was superb, pulling off some great saves, communicating and showing positivity across the 90 minutes.

Frenchy - A fantastic game at the back for our stonewall defender today, brilliant in the air and cutting out chances! A voice always too.
