⚽️🟡Match Report 🔵⚽️

Thanks Whitburn for the game yesterday. A good bunch of lads with some top players. A really competitive game that had everything you’d want to see from grassroots football.

We found ourselves on the back foot in the first half, with the opposition starting brightly. Their quick forwards caused us a few problems early on, catching us out with their pace and sharp movement. It took us a little time to adjust, but full credit to the lads—they didn’t let their heads drop and kept working hard for each other.

As the game went on, you could see the players learning and adapting. Defensively, we started to read the danger much better, tracking runners, matching their pace, and cutting out attacks that had troubled us earlier. It was a great example of resilience and determination.

The second half was a completely different story. We came out on the front foot and really took control, dominating large spells of the game. The effort, energy, and teamwork were brilliant to see, and we created some great chances. On another day, we could have got ourselves right back into it, but credit to the opposition—their defending was strong and they held firm under pressure.

Loads of positives to take, especially the way the team responded and grew into the game. That second-half performance is something to build on 👏

Last night marked our first summer training session for the boys… and we definitely brought the fun! ⚽️

Smiles, laughter, and loads of energy from start to finish — exactly what it’s all about.

At grassroots level, it’s so much more than just games and results. It’s about building friendships, growing in confidence, and creating memories that these kids will carry with them for years to come. The little moments, the laughs, the teamwork… that’s what really matters.

A brilliant start to the summer — can’t wait for more nights like that 🙌

Apologies to the fans for such a late match report but we had a cracking game of football against Hebburn yesterday morning. This was a friendly to help us tick over before the spring cup starts.

Lots of positives to take away from the game and plenty of goals scored between the teams to keep the fans entertained 🙌

Spells of football yesterday where the boys linked up beautifully showing how well they can move the ball around. An absolute joy to watch.

Finding ourselves a few goals behind the boys showed their Napoli spirit and resilience to get the game back level in the second half. Hebburn walked away with the win in an extremely entertaining match.

Thanks again to the Hebburn coaches and players for a highly competitive match 🤝 it’s exactly what you want to see at this level.

We’ll look forward to meeting you again before too long.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing grassroots football M**s out there! ⚽💐

Week after week you’re there on the sidelines in the cold, the wind and the rain. Early mornings, long drives, washing kits, finding shin pads, offering encouragement and always being the loudest cheerleaders for your kids.

Your sacrifice, commitment and endless support make grassroots football what it is. The players might be the ones on the pitch, but none of it happens without the incredible M**s behind them.

These kids are so lucky to have you in their corner every single week ❤️

⚽️🟡Match Report 🔵⚽️

Thanks Hebburn for the match this morning. An incredibly competitive game of football that felt it could’ve went either way. Some end to end stuff and a great attitude shown across the teams 🤝

Also a little mention to the ref today - he was class! Managed the game well and kept the lads right. Was lovely and clear with them which is really appreciated 🙌

The Napoli lads were a little slow out of the blocks today and took some time to find their rhythm. Hebburn started brightly and managed to take advantage early on, putting Napoli a couple of goals behind while the boys were still settling into the game.

To their credit, the lads didn’t let their heads drop. As the half went on, Napoli began to grow into the match, showing more confidence on the ball and working harder as a team. Their effort paid off as they battled back brilliantly to level the score, heading into half time with everything to play for.

The second half saw the boys come out with a bit more fight and determination. Napoli pushed forward with intent and were rewarded for their hard work by finding the goal that put them into the lead. From there the game turned into a real end-to-end contest, with both teams pushing hard and believing they could still take the win.

In the end, Napoli showed great grit and determination to see the game out, holding strong and working together right until the final whistle to secure the victory in their final league game of the campaign.

There were some real standout performances across the pitch today, with a few players producing some excellent moments that helped the team get over the line. A fantastic way for the boys to finish their league season—well done, Napoli! ⚽👏
