Sports Injury | First appointment today with the return to sport programme. It’s an NHS programme and the next step in injury recovery of this type. It went well, I have a new rehab plan to follow which is mainly plyometrics. I like this because i know for a fact this kind of work is good for American football and rugby, so it’s useful in more than one way. I have 2 appointments until I’ll be tested again for clearance. Unfortunately this means I won’t be clear until probably October now. That’s providing I pass each stage. Safe to say I’m pretty gutted because it means missing the start of the rugby season, but it’s good they’re being so careful with me. Determined to stay positive nevertheless, let’s get jumping! 🕴🏻😂 P.S. I made a YouTube video, keep your eyes peeled for it👀

Running | I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of the fact I can just smash out a 10km on a Saturday afternoon🤷🏼‍♀️💪🏼 Took this one at a fairly leisurely pace, just wanted to give the legs an outing after being ill last week. Health | 2 years today since I quit smoking🎉 This date is such a special one for me because it isn’t just about quitting smoking. It’s the day I changed my life. Today was when I stopped living the life I was stuck in, and lived the life I wanted. I stopped being that lazy student and started the lifestyle of being active and healthy. Over the past two years my physical appearance has changed drastically by losing fat and gaining muscle, even if the scales don’t always like me, the progress I have made can’t be denied. Mentally, two years ago I took control of my mental health and got the therapy I desperately needed and my mindset is wildly different now. Overall, I’m in a much better place than I was two years ago and it started with this step. May the smoke-free, bad-ass years long continue. 🤘🏼😎

Wetherby Women RUFC have been selected for league NC1 for the 2019/2020 season.

After just one year in development, the team have taken the decision to step into a league. Ready to compete, the team will face off against new and familiar contenders, such as York and Halifax, who we met in in our inaugural year.

Fitness | Throwback to when I did a circuit class and my top looked like this afterwards😂 That being said, I did really enjoy the class and I 100% want to give more classes a go outside of my regular sessions. Had rugby fitness last night, and I’m meant to be getting through a hiit session today, but currently I’m too tired to think about it let alone do it😂😭 Fingers crossed for a dramatic perk up this afternoon🤞🏼

Weight Training | 6 weeks ago I signed up with an online coach to help get my strength back after injury. Recommended by my physio, I have been working with Stuart Fielden from and here’s my results. My bench started at 23kg, and leg curl/extension at 29kg at 6RM. Put the work in and you’ll get the results. 🤘🏼

Medal Monday | I diiiiid it!🎉 1 hour and 20 minutes completion time with NO WALKING🏃🏼‍♀️💪🏼 I did a similar 10km back in 2017 where I trained heavily for it and finished only 7 minutes faster. This time round, I had 3 preparation runs which did not include a 10km. officially marks the furthest I’ve ran since injury and I could not be prouder☺️ @ Leeds

Cardio | This week with my new bike in full force I have cycled 28.2km🚲 This week has been pretty good in terms of cardio, cycled almost every day and even got some running in. This weekend I have a 5km tomorrow and then the 10km on Sunday. This week there’s been a lot of social events so my food has been all over the place which has kinda fu**ed me over a little mentally and my stomach feels awful. I refuse to not live a little though. Nevertheless, I have the rest of the weekend to make good choices and I’m going to. First 10km since injury COME AT ME 💪🏼😍
