Horley Lions FC U9s are looking for ONE more player to join the squad ahead of the approaching season starting from September.

Player must be currently aged 8 years old, and turning age 9 after August 31st.

Training day: Tuesday evening 6-7pm

The U8s squad played their second friendly of the pre-season against Maidenbower Colts and took control of the game early on. The boys maintained a brilliant intensity from the first whistle right to the end, coming away with another well-deserved win! ✅

There were plenty of positives all over the pitch today — defenders were rock solid and the attackers were clinical. Everyone executed their roles perfectly. 👏

A massive thank you to Maidenbower Colts for hosting and for a fantastic, competitive friendly this morning. Great to see both teams playing some lovely football. ⚽️

Last but not least, a huge shoutout to all our brilliant parents for standing out in the rainy weather to support the lads! 🦁

Horley Lions U8s - Match Report! 🦁

What a way to kick off our pre-season! ⚽

Today our newly founded Horley Lions U8s played in their very first friendly match against Cuckfield Cosmos and came away with a fantastic first win! 💪🏼

Despite missing a few players, and being in the blistering heat, the boys put in an amazing & dominant performance. A special mention to our brave U7s lads who were called up today yo reinforce the squad — you all did brilliantly!

From the first whistle to the last, The Lions were dominant, creating chance after chance and showcasing some excellent football. We are so proud of every single player! 👏🏼

A huge thank you to Cuckfield Cosmos for a great game, and for having us this morning. And a massive shout out to all the parents who came out to support on this lovely summers day! 🦁

A frosty start for The Lions in this mornings fixture vs. Copthorne Tigers as our first match of 2026.

Plenty of positives to take from today, with some great football played from both sides.

The Lions went on to win the match 1-0 by the final whistle, a great way to start the new year. 👏🏼🦁
