Hello Pilates Pals
I thought I’d give you a run down of the different classes I teach!
PILATES (MIXED ABILITY)
My mixed ability pilates classes cater to individuals with varying fitness levels and abilities. It offers a supportive and inclusive environment where participants can engage in exercises that suit their individual needs and goals. Everyone can enjoy the benefits of Pilates while progressing at their own pace. Expect to see different equipment each week to aid and adapt each class (equipment provided)
GENTLE PILATES
A modified form of pilates that uses a combination of seated and standing exercises (no floor work) . The concept of the class is to be more accessible and suitable for individuals who prefer a slower more gentle approach to exercise. It is designed to be low impact and focuses on improving flexibility, posture, core strength and balance whilst maintaining the principles of pilates practice.
POST-NATAL PILATES
This mum and baby class is designed to restore strength and core stability after pregnancy and childbirth.
We focus on reintroducing movement and targeting the deep core muscles, pelvic and back muscles, whilst improving posture, alignment and flexibility. We use breathing techniques to facilitate relaxation and overall body awareness.
Suitable for 6+ weeks post-partum up to 18 months.
BARRE
Barre incorporates elements of ballet, pilates and yoga. A low impact, high intensity workout incorporating standing work at the barre and floor work on the mat. Different equipment used in each class including soft ball, weights and flex bands.
Barre, strengthens, tones, improves flexibility, enhances balance and improves cardiovascular health.
PILATES/BARRE FUSION
A pilates/barre fusion class combines the principles of pilates with the dynamic movements of barre exercises. This unique fusion workout aims to strengthen and tone the entire body while improving flexibility and posture. Participants can expect a challenging yet balanced workout that integrates elements of ballet-inspired movements, Pilates mat exercises, and strength training using different props each week.
