After spending all my coaching career with the Youth at Holyhead Hotspur Scott approached me to be part of his coaching staff for the newly formed Holyhead Hotspur Development team, I quickly accepted the roll and we got to work on the season ahead

Little did we know the season would end with us grabbing a TREBLE League champions, league cup winners and the champions of champions cup. The standards we set as coaching staff to the players was high from the very beginning leaving no stone unturned and every tactic and substitution carried out to the finest detail

The players involved all season have been immense listening to every instruction given and most of all in every game giving no less than a 100%, in doing so several players made their first team debuts and making the first team squad every week. They have all been an absolute joy to be around with the laughs off the pitch never ending

I can’t remember how it happened but at the start of journey Macsen came along and hasn’t left since. Missing only 2 games all season collecting cones, footballs, bibs and water bottles he has been there in sunshine and being on the bench frozen cold with about 5 coats on but still was there, I can only thank the other coaches and players for how they have looked after him all season, he has loved, so thank you

Nearly there now for what would be momentous season.

From the day I was asked to come on board I never thought it would be this kind of season, though I knew we had a brilliant chance to achieve something special.
My role was to be goalkeeper coach and try and help the keepers in anyway I could and pass on what experience and knowledge I had, which was hopefully going to help. The keepers I have worked with this season have been brilliant and listen and taking everything in, though only small but I have seen a massive development in Jake and hopefully the more I work with Lucas I can help and take him to next Level from youth football to Seniors. I have more work with Jake to make him more commanding in the box and that will come in time.
But whilst I looked after the keeper I have watched the other members of staff train and work with the outfield players and seen a massive rise in the Development in them and the players which bodes well for the future of this club. To achieve what we have so far is testament to everyone and it can get even better in the next 2weeks and the boys totally deserve all the accolades thrown at them.

Like probably been said already a special mention should to everyone ( parents, supporters ) who has been on this journey so far with us and your support is second to none and we thank you 💙🤍🐝

Today we had the opportunity to make it a treble winning season.
As the game got underway I feel we took control from the start but found ourselves over playing at times and struggling to find width so after 30 minutes resulted back to a 4231 formation which aloud us to open up the pitch knowing if we did the right things at the right time goals would come.
On the 37th minute last weeks cup final motm young Reece Thomas found in form Cameron James Buckley to slot home and take us into the break 1-0
In the dressing room at half time we was happy as a group but felt by tweaking certain aspects of our play we would find ourselves more successful infront of goal.
Second half and what we’ve witnessed all season the lads shined once more. Macy And Dad Away Days finding Noel Owen to fire home this was Noel’s first game back from injury and was good to see him pick up where he left off thanks to Tony maguire for all his work with Noel.
With Kinmel bay going long we felt going to wingbacks for last 25 mins would secure up our play and give us a more fluid end.
Changes made from a strong bench found us rewarded a penalty with Melv McGinness stepping up. 10 minutes later a Ryan Woodruff corner found Melv who put in a lovely cross for Huw morris to get a well deserved goal.
Cameron finished off today’s victory with a great solo effort. Jake Chapman and his defence yet again keeping a clean sheet making it I believe 16 for the season.
As a squad every single player has played there part trained extremely hard all season a deserve there rewards.
We will now take a small break before a night of enjoyment on the 5th June which all family and fans are invited The Port Inn Holyhead @18.00 start.

From myself I want to say thank you to my staff my players who have made this season enjoyable. Taking on this challenge I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep everyone happy all the time but I like to think I tried my best and did everything possible to allow all a platform to progress and shine.
