I’ve just recorded a short invitation video for a very special evening I’ll be bringing to Somerset this July.

We often say “love is all we need”...

But what kind of love are we actually choosing?

The fantasy love?
The push-pull love?
The love that asks us to abandon ourselves?

Or a love that helps us become more of who we truly are?

This evening is an exploration of connection, intimacy, vulnerability, authentic relating, and what it means to create love that is real, grounded, and alive.

Opening is beautiful

Falling in love can feel effortless.
Connection can feel intoxicating.

But staying open?

Staying open when:
- you feel hurt
- misunderstood
- disappointed
- triggered
- afraid

That’s a very different practice.

And honestly… I think this is where real intimacy begins.

Not in fantasy.
Not in projection.
Not in “you complete me.”

But in the messy, vulnerable, deeply human practice of staying present.

This is the next journey we’ll be exploring together at Ta***ic Heart in July

There was a time when being around people felt really hard.
Most of my friendships before recovery — almost 20 years ago now — were built on trauma, coping, numbing.
And when that fell away… so did many of those connections.
I had to learn how to be with people again.
Without anything to soothe the anxiety.
Without hiding behind a version of myself.
Just… me.
And that hasn’t been easy.
It still asks something of me —
to stay open,
to be honest,
to show the parts of me that aren’t polished or “shiny”.
But this is where something real lives.
In being seen as I am.
In choosing connection without abandoning myself.
And this is why I care so deeply about the spaces I create.
Ta***ic Heart was born from this journey —
a place where you don’t have to perform, fix yourself, or be anything other than where you are.
Just real people, learning how to stay… a little more open.
Still learning.
Still opening.
Still here 💛
