Future School Fitness Future School Fitness specialises in delivering outstanding sports activities to primary schools in Leicestershire both in and out of curriculum time.

Dean Clafferty is the founder of Future School Fitness and has a great enthusiasm and passion for sport. By taking this attitude into schools across the county, he wishes to create a desire in young people to participate in sport and physical activity to encourage healthy lifestyles, both now and in the future. He is extremely professional in his delivery of sports activities and holds an array of qualifications including:
Qualified Teacher Status;
First Class Honours Degree in Sports Science;
REP's Level 3 Personal Trainer;
Numerous Coaching Badges;
DBS clearance;
Paediatric First Aid;
Safeguarding Training;
Public Liability Insurance up to £5 Million

As a teacher, Dean was consistently graded as 'Outstanding' and takes these principles into the sports setting to deliver this same high level of teaching and learning. He has a great relationship with children and parents alike, and is always striving to improve and further his own learning and development for the benefit of all those participating in his activities.

Wow… how did that happen!? 🥳

10 years ago I left my role as a teacher to jump into the unknown and start Future School Fitness, following my passion to get more children physically active by delivering sports and games in a fun, engaging way that would create a lifelong desire to be active in our younger generation ⚽️🥅🎾🏏🏀

Fast forward to 2026, and now, myself and numerous coaches deliver the PE curriculum as well as extra curricular sports activities to 100’s, if not 1000’s of different children every week in many local primary schools!

Over the years, we have had the unique privilege of providing physical activity opportunities to so many children within Hinckley and Leicestershire, and we want to say a huge thank you to all of the incredible parents and carers, as well as the local schools who have supported us with our venture over the past decade. On a very personal note, I want to also show massive appreciation to all of our coaches who have taken on our values and goals, and shown an amazing amount of enthusiasm, commitment and professionalism to deliver such high quality activities over the years. Without all of this support from so many people, we would not be able to do the things we do, or be where we are now 10 years later… so thank you so much! 🙏

Looking ahead to the next decade, we will continue with our aim of providing sports opportunities to all children in a safe, fun and engaging way, in order for young people to develop a love for physical activity that continues right into their adult life 🙌

Thank you so much to all of the children who attended over the past 4 weeks and to all of the parents and carers for your incredible support with what we do!!
