🏆 2013 Dynamos season is coming to a close, but the work doesn’t stop as training continues right through until July.

A huge highlight of the year was winning the Lisburn Castlereagh Junior League Cup – a fantastic achievement for everyone involved and a reward for all the hard work put in throughout the season.

We also enjoyed a brilliant awards day at Windsor Park, taking in the atmosphere and enjoying a tour of the stadium and grounds – a day to remember for the whole team.

Overall, it has been a great season with plenty of memories made, but we’re not finished yet. There are always exciting plans ahead, and we look forward to building on everything we have achieved this year.

🏟️ We may have peaked as a club.

On Saturday 30th of May we took the entire junior club to the Clearer Twist National Stadium at Windsor Park for our end of season awards — and then, because we clearly weren't already punching above our weight, we got a full stadium tour thrown in.

Changing rooms that don't smell of Deep Heat and damp socks? ✅
Standing in the tunnel where actual international footballers walk out? ✅
Several small people absolutely convinced they were moments away from signing a professional contract? Also ✅

The kids were brilliant. The parents were emotional. At least two coaches pretended they had something in their eye.

To every player, parent, and volunteer who made this season what it was — thank you. You earned every second of it.

Dynamos 16s,17s and Girls Vs 3x Crusaders Girls 2016s

Friday evening at McCarthy Park saw a fantastic atmosphere as Downshire Dynamos 16s , 17s and our 2 x girls teams hosted three Crusaders Girls 2016 teams for a mini tournament, alongside fixtures involving our own Dynamos teams.

Both Dynamos Girls teams represented the club brilliantly, showing great energy, teamwork and determination throughout. One of the standout achievements on the night was one of our Girls teams going unbeaten, competing superbly against the Crusaders sides, as well as going toe-to-toe with boys’ teams and picking up some excellent wins against both.

Across the pitch, the talent on display from our 2016s and 2017s squads was outstanding. They more than held their own, making life extremely difficult for three elite Crusaders teams from the top level of girls’ football in Northern Ireland.

There was also plenty of fun on the night — especially when our own Dynamos teams played against each other, with coaches insisting it was “just training”… even if the competitiveness suggested otherwise!

A big thank you to Crusaders FC for making the trip and contributing to such an enjoyable evening. It was a pleasure to host them and the quality of football on show made it a great experience for everyone involved.

Last night was yet another highlight of the season for the Dynamos.

Cup Final WINNERS! 2015 Dynamos v Castlewellan Forest 🏆

The coaches were all nervous of todays game but the boys turned up with their usual belief looking smart in their new strips. Thank you to our new kit sponsor Teylor.

It is not an exaggeration to say that every boy out there today played their best game today and gave everything for their club and team mates. They were superb and showed they can beat anyone when the focus and determination set in. They have been on quite a journey this last 12 months and it is great to end on a high.

Our usual Sportsmanship on show today, downplaying our own celebration at the end and enthuasticially applauding the runners up onto the stage. Especially proud of our captain Mylo who went to see if he could help console the upset Castlewellan player who missed a scoring chance. ❤️ These things are bigger than football.

Thank you to Stewart for getting the boys fit during training, it really showed today.

And finally thank you to all our parents, you have been so supportive and allowed us to get on with developing your boys, they have done you all proud today and we hope they can continue to delight us next season.
