On behalf of the Met police re a theft

Local Priorities Theft Of a TRACTOR

Dear residents

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding the theft of motor vehicles, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

The Metropolitan Police Service are currently investigating a burglary Where a Kubota G21 Orange in colour Tractor has been stolen from Harefield United football Club on Breakspear Road North HAREFIELD.

We believe this offence occurred on Friday 15/05/2026 to Saturday 16/05/2026 during the hours of 18:00 hours to 08:00 hours. The image of the similar tractor has been attached.

This is an appeal for any information which you may have that would assist us in our investigation. Do you have any CCTV cameras? Dash cam footage? Did you see or hear anything?

If so, please contact 101 quoting crime reference 01/7569085/26 Alternatively, contact us via the met police website or respond to this email using the details below.
If you do not wish to speak to the police, you can call Crime stoppers on 0800555111 https://crimestoppers-uk.org/ - Your details will not be taken or recorded!

Your local safer neighbourhood team would like to remind you all to try and keep your property looking as though somebody is at home. By this, you wish to leave a light on, keep a radio playing or ask your neighbours to park their vehicles in your drive (if you are going away for an extended period).

Most burglars are opportunist and it is very rare that criminals will be watching your house over a long period of time. If your house is in darkness at 6pm, the chances are nobody is at home … Think like a criminal and do whatever you can to make your house look occupied. Very rarely are items such as TV’s stolen. Cash / Jewellery / Vehicle car keys are favoured. Consider investing in a hidden safe or leaving your cash in the bank, and your jewellery in a safe deposit.

Please can I remind all residents that if they see what they believe to be a crime in progress, one that has just happened, or is happening, to dial 999 straight away!

If you can, screenshot this message, or forward to those who need to see it – Review your home security NOW!!!!

We know that people can be concerned about the personal and financial impact of having their vehicle stolen, which is why we will pursue and arrest those who break the law. Please consider taking the following steps to keep your vehicle safe:

Check that your vehicle is locked and secure every time you leave it. Thieves often look for easy opportunities to steal from vehicles. They will usually try the handles until they get lucky and find one that has been left unlocked.

Keep your keys safe, out of view when at home and away from your front door.

If you have a keyless entry vehicle, keep the key well away from the vehicle while at home and turn off wireless signals on your fob when its not being used. Consider putting the keys in a screened or signal blocking pouch, such as a Faraday Bag and check that it is still working every few months.

Park your vehicle in a private garage if you can. If you don’t have access to one, try to park in a well –lit open space.

Try to use public car parks that are part of the police approved Park Mark safer parking scheme.

Secure your number plates with tamper resistant screws to avoid them being stolen and used by others.

Full advice and guidance on this, and other crime types is available on the Metropolitan Police website.

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.

Together they’ve raised over £1000 for our club renovation project 👏✨

Incredible team spirit from players, parents & coaches. With a special shoutout to Natalie for organising it all!
