✨ BLACKPOOL 2026 | PART ONE – TEAM EAD RESULTS ✨

It’s hard to believe that this time last week we were just getting started on the first day (that we quickly dubbed “Super Saturday!”) of the mammoth MOY weekend💙

After months of hard work, dedication and preparation, Team EAD headed to the Winter Gardens for the NATD Medalist of the Year Festival… and what a weekend it turned out to be!

We are absolutely thrilled to say that this was our most successful Medalist of the Year (yet😉), and we couldn’t be prouder of every single member of Team EAD.

Across the Solo and Couples events, our team achieved an incredible:

🥉 10 Third Placings
⭐ 9 Fourth Placings
⭐ 10 Fifth Placings
⭐ 5 Sixth Placings
⭐ 2 Seventh Placings

These results represent so much more than medals and trophies. They represent months of determination, resilience, practice, perseverance and teamwork. Every student gave absolutely everything, both on and off the dance floor, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way you represented Essex Academy of Dance.

Our brand new Strictly “Intermediates” Ballroom & Latin class is coming this July!

If you’ve already mastered the basics and are ready for your next challenge, this course is for you. Over 8 weeks we’ll be focusing on Waltz and Cha Cha Cha, helping you develop your technique, confidence and style in a fun, friendly environment.

📍 The Deanes Dance Studio, Thundersley
✔️ Large wooden sprung dance floor
✔️ Free onsite parking
✔️ Friendly, experienced teachers
✔️ No partner required

🗓 Starts Thursday 23rd July

What a truly unforgettable weekend at the NATD Medalist of the Year in Blackpool! 💙✨

Our hearts are absolutely bursting with pride.

The results our dancers achieved were nothing short of incredible, and every single one of you should be so proud of everything you've accomplished. But as amazing as the trophies, medals, and finals are, they aren't what has stayed with us the most.

What made this weekend so special was the way you all supported one another. The cheering from the sidelines, the hugs after every round, the words of encouragement, the celebrations of each other's successes, and the kindness shown throughout the weekend perfectly captured what our dance school is all about.

To our dancers…you represented the school with talent, determination, resilience, and humility. You gave your all on the dance floor, and watching you grow in confidence while supporting one another made us prouder than any result ever could.

To our wonderful dance families, thank you. Thank you for the early mornings, the late nights, the travelling, the endless support, and for believing in your children, partners, friends, every step of the way. Your commitment and encouragement make all of this possible, and we are so grateful to have such an incredible community behind us.

Weekends like this remind us that success isn't measured only by results. It's measured by the friendships we build, the respect we show, the memories we create, and the way we celebrate each other. This weekend, our dance community shone in every possible way.

Thank you all for making Blackpool so special. We are beyond proud, beyond grateful, and so excited for everything that's still to come. Here's to celebrating every achievement together and continuing this amazing journey as one team. 💙

The wait is finally over… NATD Medalist of the Year starts tomorrow! 💙

Firstly, we’d like to wish Kevin, Sharon and the entire Medalist of the Year Committee the very best of luck for what we’re sure will be another fantastic festival. Thank you for all of your hard work, dedication and the countless hours that go into making this such a special event each year.

To all of our fellow competitors, teachers and dance schools travelling to Blackpool this weekend, we wish you all the very best of luck.

And finally… Team EAD.

We couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of you. You’ve put in the hours, worked through the challenges, supported one another and earned your place to shine out on that beautiful Winter Gardens floor.

Now it’s time to trust your training, believe in yourselves and your dance to your personal bests! Go out there, enjoy every second and dance with confidence—you’ve already done the hard part.

Another fantastic day of dancing for Team EAD at last weekend’s Jubilee Competition! ✨

A big thank you to the organisers for putting on another brilliant event. As always, it was a great day filled with plenty of dancing and friendly competition.

Congratulations to all of our students who took to the floor. We were so pleased to see the progress everyone has been making—it was fantastic to watch your hard work paying off. Whether you came home with medals or simply achieved a personal best, you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves.

A huge thank you also goes to Hannah for all of your time, effort and energy throughout the day. We truly couldn’t do it without you!

A huge congratulations to Matilda, Amber, Alysha and Olivia for representing EAD so brilliantly at last Sunday’s

It was our first visit to this competition and what a lovely day it was! Super judges, great music, a friendly atmosphere…and the ice cream van definitely deserves an honourable mention! 😄

Despite the long, busy (and very hot!) day, our girls danced their socks off and competed beautifully from start to finish. We couldn’t have been prouder of their attitude and performances on the floor.

And in true in EAD style…congratulations to our parent and child competitors, Danni & Matilda and then to Trevor & Amber and Linda & Olivia on bringing home two 1st places and a 3rd. It seems you have been paying close attention all these years!😉😂

Well done Team EAD on another brilliant Sunday of dancing. 👏
