Another great performance from the boys today. All working hard and trying their best and they were unlucky not to go ahead with some great play. Unfortunately a goal against the run of play from the opposition killed the mometum. Despite this the boys should be proud of themselves for the effort they gave.

Man of the Match went to Henry. A great first half performance upfront topped off by a fantastic stint in goal covering our injured GK. Well done Henry 🟠⚫️

The first ever game for our U7s and what a game it was. A tough start going behind early but showed great character to get back in the game. All the boys worked hard and should be so proud of themselves.

Man of the match went to Lucas for not only scoring 4 goals but also a great team performance. 💪🏼🟠⚫️

Match Day 2 🟠⚫️

HSJ Under 10 Tigers vs Shawclough

The Tigers were back in action today against Shawclough. The first half was a scrappy affair, however Jack provided a touch of quality with a long-range effort to open the scoring.

The second half brought an improved performance from the Tigers, but clear-cut chances were hard to come by, meaning it was the day of the long-range goals!

Clayton got the second from the far right, with Grayson adding a third with a brilliant strike, again from distance. Just like last week, Sam made some really crucial saves to thwart some promising Shawclough attacks.

⭐🏆 MAN OF THE MATCH 🏆⭐

This week went to Clayton. A brilliant performance, driving the team forward at every opportunity, as well as tracking back to help the defence out, topped off with a great goal.

Match day 2 🟠⚫️

A tough game for the Vipers this week, going behind to several early goals after our keeper was injured in the early stages. The lads rallied in the second half though and made a real game of it. After only the second match of the season, we can already see improvements in their play so bring on the next game!

Man of the match went to our keeper, Jack. Despite hurting his back and leg saving a certain goal, Jack courageously came back onto the field and pulled off a string of fantastic saves. Well done Jack!

Really tough game today against a very good side, but the boys showed great character and didn’t give up throughout the whole game.

Everyone played really well and kept battling right until the final whistle.
