Used my wellbeing hour to collect Emilia from school on Maisie. She was so excited and shocked too see her pony at the nursery gates. Maisie was so good, she took loads of children coming to stroke her in her stride with her ears pricked forward and behaved like an actual labrador 😂😂😂

Little hack this morning before it got too hot ☀️🐴

This pony is so brave. She happily followed me through an overgrown bit on the bridleway that a lot of horses would’ve probably planted at or tried to avoid altogether 😅

Hacking is not something she’s really done much of before, so she was a little on her toes to begin with, but she soon settled, put her big girl pants on and marched on with her ears pricked forward 💛

Maisie wears her heart on her face—you can tell instantly when she enjoys something just as much as when she doesn’t… and she absolutely adores having a job to do.

She really is a real life unicorn 🦄✨

The grass situation is slightly out of control at the minute 🌱🙃
Spice has the already stripped area because honestly… if she was in the long grass I’m not convinced I’d even be able to find her 😂 In some places it’s taller than Emilia.

Maisie is also proving that grazing muzzles are apparently optional, because she’s managed to dump every single one I’ve tried so far 🤦‍♀️ although to be fair, the grass is so long in this paddock that a muzzle probably wouldn’t help much anyway.

Has anybody tried the LeMieux grazing muzzle with any success? Maisie has never had laminitis but I’d quite like to keep it that way 😅

I did try splitting all 3 of them up into different areas with different amounts of grass, but Dream got really anxious about it. She is getting better with things like that, but we’re definitely not quite there yet.

Never a dull moment with horses 🐴💛

A really good lesson for Emilia today with Stacey 💛🐴
Her and Maisie practiced steering, weaving in and out of the posts—starting to realise she actually has to tell Maisie where to go instead of just hoping for the best 😅
They also worked over poles, keeping things steady and building her confidence…
And then… the rising trot finally clicked 🥹✨
You could literally see the penny drop and it all start to come together.
One of those sessions where you come away feeling like there’s been real progress 💕
