A fantastic first season of hardball cricket for our U11 Girls!🏏

The team enjoyed a brilliant debut campaign, playing 7 matches and recording 4 victories along the way. More importantly, they've developed their skills, grown in confidence and shown fantastic teamwork, determination and enthusiasm throughout the season.

A huge congratulations to all of the players and thank you to the coaches, volunteers and parents for their continued support!

Huge congratulations to Hertford U12s boys on securing their league title last week! 🏆

An outstanding achievement after winning all 7 games so far this season. A brilliant squad effort throughout, with contributions right across the team.

The journey isn’t over yet with the County Quarter Finals next month. Best of luck to the boys - the Club is behind you!

Celebrating our U11's and their wonderful season ❤

On Sunday 31st August, the boys put in a fantastic performance to win the Summer League semi-final against Hitchin and move to the final, which took place on Sunday. In the semi-final, in a rain affected game reduced to 16 overs, Hertford posted an excellent 98 for 3 with Sam Ryan scoring 25 retired, Thomas McGovern 22* and George Buse 19.

A quality bowling display led Hertford to a 47 run victory with Thomas McGovern taking 2 wickets; there were also 3 great catches by Thomas McGovern, George Buse and Stan Herbert. A special mention should be given to Sam Halfacre, wicket keeper, who had just one bye and was outstanding throughout.

Sadly, in the final, which took place on Sunday, the boys were unable to get over the final hurdle against a formidable West Herts team who batted first and posted 125/3 from their 20 overs. Despite a valiant run-chase, the boys fell 35 runs short of collecting the trophy, but that takes nothing away from what has been a memorable season for a great team. Well done, boys!

Our under 13s started their summer league season with a fantastic eight-wicket win over Cokenach on Tuesday.

A brilliant bowling performance, backed up by very composed batting, earned them the win despite the rainy conditions.

The win was all the sweeter as they had brought their regular league season to a close earlier this month with a heartbreaking two-run defeat to the same opponents.

It’s been another year of progress for the tight knit group who continue to improve in all areas of the game.

• Dates: Week 1: 28 July - 31 July, Week 2:4 Aug - 7 Aug, Week 3: 11 Aug - 14 Aug, Week 4: 21 Aug - 24 Aug
• ⁠Times: Early drop off 9:30, Morning session starting at 10:00 - 12:00. Lunch from 12:00-13:00. Afternoon session starting at 13:00 till 15:00. Late pick up 15:30.
• ⁠Prices: One session morning or afternoon = £15 for Junior club members. Non-members = £20. Full day morning and afternoon = £25. Non-members = £30.

Victory to end the season for the U10 boys who were privileged to be on the main square on the top pitch at Knebworth.

In the 30 degree heat, the boys were energised in the knowledge that the opposition were hungry for their first win of the season. It was a tenacious, patient and disciplined batting performance on a surface that could sometimes be unpredictable.

With a score of 308 and the loss of just 2 wickets, the boys knew they needed to be consistent in their bowling. Having done their own team talk, they recognised that they have won matches by pitching the ball up and keeping the line on or outside off stump. The bowling display was solid enough to restrict Knebworth to 272. A really mature performance from our boys; what a transformation from the start of the season!
