🌟 Team Up - YOU can be part of it at the Area 46 Show at Felbridge Showground and beyond! 🌟

In a new development for 2026, Senior Members will be able to form a team of either three or four to compete together over 90cm, 1m or 1.10m tracks at qualifiers being held during May, June and July at seven venues around the country. The Teams finishing first and second at each height in their class at each of the qualifiers will be eligible to contest the final at Stoneleigh.

For the South East, the Team Qualifying Competition will take place at the Area 46 Show, held at Felbridge Showground on 17–18 July 2026.

Following a successful pony career, Judi completed an Honours Degree in Behavioural Psychology at UCL before establishing her own business producing showjumping horses. Over the years, she has produced horses from unbacked youngsters through to Novice Finals at HOYS and competing at 1.60m level.

Alongside competing throughout Europe, Judi has proudly represented Great Britain in India, Ecuador, and El Salvador. Her daughter, India, also enjoyed a successful pony career and has since gone on to achieve international wins across Europe.

In 2005, at the request of British Showjumping, Judi created the Sussex Academy. Over the past 20 years, Sussex has become one of the largest academies in the country, with an impressive record of team victories at the Academy Championships.

The Academy has also achieved significant success in Style and Performance classes, with correct classical riding forming the foundation of long-term success. Many young riders who have progressed through the Academy have gone on to gain international recognition within the sport.

Young riders on horses and ponies are welcome to join the Academy up to 21 years old.

In September, Judi will begin a postgraduate MSc in Individual Performance Psychology, further developing her knowledge to support riders both in and out of the arena.

Judi remains incredibly passionate about helping young riders develop confidence, skill, and strong horsemanship in a positive and supportive environment. 💙

This exciting addition is a huge boost for the National Team Championships following the recently announced format updates, giving competitors and spectators an even bigger and better championship experience.

The final qualifier will be held at the Sussex Area Show on Saturday 18 July.

📅 The Team Jumping qualifier dates for 2026 have now been released!

With an exciting new format this year, riders can now form teams with friends from across the country, rather than being limited to their home region — making it easier than ever to plan your season together.

The journey to the British Showjumping National Championships starts here, so be sure to check the newly released qualifier dates and find out where your team could secure its place at this summer’s Championships.
