At what point did we start caring so much about what other people think?
As kids, we danced when we wanted to dance.
We sang even if we couldn’t sing.
We wore what we liked.
We tried things we weren’t very good at.
And we didn’t spend half the time wondering who ‘might’ be watching.
Then somewhere along the way, we became more aware of other people’s opinions.
What if I look stupid?
What if people judge me?
What if I’m not very good at it?
What will people think?
And slowly, those thoughts start deciding what we do… and what we DON’T do.
I’m not a dancer 😜 But this weekend in Morocco I danced…. A LOT!
Was I the best one there? Absolutely not.
Did that matter? Also absolutely not 😉
Because I was having fun 💃
And I think sometimes we need to remember that we can and SHOULD do things simply because they make us HAPPY 💗
Other people are probably thinking about you far less than you imagine anyway.
And even if they ARE judging you…
Is their opinion really worth missing out on your own life for?
What would you do more of if you stopped worrying about what other people might think? 🤔 ⬇️ ###
