There are so many evidence-based benefits of exercise during pregnancy. While there are some contraindications, every body is unique and it’s worth asking your doctor if you’re safe to exercise during pregnancy. Most women are.
Pregnant women aren’t fragile, even if they have more high risk pregnancies. They can lift weights, they can exercise to a moderate intensity. There are certain positions that aren’t recommended in Pilates and as long as you’re being taught by someone who is pre and postnatally qualified they can guide you and give you modifications — and IMO *some* of the guidance in these qualifications is a little outdated.
