💛 Taking on the 100K Sands Challenge 💛

One of our lovely ladies and family are taking on the incredible 100K Sands Challenge for a cause that is very close to her heart.

Sadly, she lost her precious baby Oakley in June, and she has decided to turn such an incredibly difficult experience into something positive by taking on this challenge and raising money in their memory.

she hopes to raise as much money as possible for a cause that means so much to her.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean the world to her and help support others going through the unimaginable loss of a baby. 💛

❌GET THE TISSUES READY ❌

It’s with great sadness that we have to announce that our very our number 5 and former captain Shona has decided to hang her boots up 😭.

Her service to the team over the seasons she has played for Welly every tackle every 50/50 which is why she picks up so many knocks, she is 100% committed to Welly. Her overall service to the sport which she also continues through her coaching.
She won players player in the 23/24 season. She won club woman of the year 24/25 season and the 2 awards she won yesterday for the 25/26 season. I think sums up what an amazing player and person she is.
All of us at Welly Ladies are going to Miss you dearly but we wish you good luck and remember they will always be place on the pitch for you.
