A huge congratulations to Karl Lugg and our Development Team after finishing the season yesterday with a fine 1–2 win away at Hereford Pegasus.
What a way to end a challenging, emotional campaign — with character, quality, and the togetherness that has defined this group.
First‑half goals from James Davies and Marc Avery set the tone before a gritty, disciplined defensive display saw the lads home.
In the second half, Matthew Boulton and Harvey Bryan were immense at the back, while Sean Arrowsmith produced several big saves to protect the lead. A proper team shift.
One of the standout features of the match was the number of young players stepping into senior football with confidence and maturity.
• Joel Byard (16) and Dan da Silva (16) both registered assists — a brilliant contribution from two exciting prospects.
• Benito Morris Fazenda, our U16 captain, made his senior debut as a second‑half substitute. A proud moment for him, his family, and the club.
The Devs deserve enormous credit for the way they’ve carried themselves over the past six weeks.
Following the tragic passing of manager Jordan Baker, the group has shown strength, unity, and heart — playing for each other and for Jordan Baker, who remains firmly in all our thoughts.
To finish the season with such spirit says everything about the character of this squad and the culture Jordan helped build.
