Onto our final Phase ✨

Everyone’s PMS symptoms are different but a huge one is fatigue! It can be so hard to motivate yourself and want to push hard in the gym and that is completely NORMAL during the luteal phase.

For me, I struggle with my balance during this phase so the last thing I want to be doing is pushing heavy weights in a split position or on one leg!

Phase 3 - Ovulation 🤍

For all of these posts I have given an overview of common symptoms and how exercise can benefit you during each exercise phase. However, you need to remember that everyone is different!

The symptoms that one person will feel will be completely different to someone else. This is why understanding your unique cycle and having the awareness of how best to train during each phase will keep your exercise efficient 🙌🏼

It can be extremely discouraging if you’re committing to starting exercising in the gym but aren’t seeing the results you want. This can be due to a number of things but not knowing how to exercise efficiently for your body is definitely at the top of the list!

The increase in testosterone not only allows you to push yourself with those heavier weights but also speeds up muscle recovery 💪🏼 allowing for optimal 1RM training!

Over the next few days I will be sharing with you what the different phases of the menstrual cycle are and how you can train efficiently during each of them 🤍

Your menstrual cycle can last on average around 28 days and starts on day 1 of your period (menstruation).

Understanding your body and your cycle is extremely important as it is unique for each person. Therefore knowing how to support yourself within each phase will allow for a more efficient approach to physical activity.

6 mile mud run done ✅

I am definitely not a runner but I am really proud for pushing myself out of my comfort zone and trying something new!

Whole body circuit 💪🏼

Circuits are great on days when you want to be in and out of the gym quickly but still want to feel like you’ve worked 🙌🏼

5 rounds, 30 secs per exercise, 2 minute rest in between rounds!
