Look after the Goose Coaching

Look after the Goose Coaching Welcome to Look after the Goose Coaching. I support those who want to gain clarity, get unstuck, and take action so they can live with intention.

Empowering leaders and returning to work parents to repower their brilliance and recharge their work-life. I support those who want to gain clarity, get unstuck, and take action. What is coaching? Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their personal performance. Using a powerful coaching method to get clarity on what’s important for you, work through the blocks, unlock creativity

and take concrete action. Why work with me?
• You want to create focus and direction vs. feeling stuck between multiple life, relationship, or career-related goals.
• You want to create new beliefs around being enough. You are ready to release yourself from perfectionism, imposter syndrome, unhelpful habits, and behaviours that keep you ‘busy busy busy’.
• I specialise in supporting leaders and returning to work parents to repower their brilliance and recharge their work-life so that they can master challenges like overwhelm, stress and find the perfect work/life balance and power up team performance.
• As your coach, I believe you are resourceful and have everything you need to release your potential.
• Through my coaching programme, you will set value-based goals, create empowering beliefs, embrace a growth mindset and complete action plans to achieve your goals. My coaching programme offers:
• A series of 6 structured coaching conversations to help you create focus and overcome overwhelm by breaking down a big goal(s) into short-term SMART and challenging ones.
• An opportunity to gain self-awareness and assume responsibility for moving forward.
• An empathetic, non-judgemental environment to challenge and replace old/automatic thinking with an empowering narrative, congruent with your core values.
• Accountability to yourself as you identify and commit to an impactful SMART action plan.
• Tools, exercises, resources to aid self-reflection outside of coaching sessions. Cost:
I am currently covering the cost of each coaching programme as part of gaining my Diploma qualification. The cost to you as a coachee is a written testimonial, due to me at the end of our time together. As such, I am keen to work with motivated individuals who are invested in their personal growth, committed to being coached, able to maintain the agreed sessions schedule. Connect and say HI.

Happy Fathers Day!

A shout out to all the wonderful Daddies out there. I am so grateful that my son will grow up with such wonderful influences in his life.

"A son's first superhero, a daughter's first love!"

It doesn't always come easy building and holding onto relationships but understanding each other better can help. Coaching can help, drop me a message if you would like to find out more.

The word Anxiety has come up a lot with my clients over the last couple of weeks. We all feel it!

But...we worry about being anxious and feel guilty about its effects. We then try to eradicate it from our lives completely which makes things worse. Anxiety can be a signal, a valuable signal that something is wrong. It can provide us with an opportunity to grow. We don't change a job or a relationship that's bad for us unless it first feels bad. It's a vital part of life and we can learn to let it sit. Neither flee from it nor worry about it and make it worse. It's not the enemy, but a signal. Under the right circumstances, Anxiety can be a superpower.

When I feel anxiety, I stop and say to myself...

"Thank you for that feeling brain, however, it appears I am not in danger, I can control the situation and if I can't, I'll control the emotion I am feeling."

Instantly I am pulled out of fight or flight and can see things logically again. Then I can spend more time enjoying life with this cheeky monkey. Give it a go and let me know if it has helped you.

Mental Health Awareness Week

Tip 4. Challenge your thoughts.
We experience hundreds and thousands of thoughts each day. Not all of these thoughts will be positive. If you are experiencing negative thoughts take a moment to challenge them. Write down a list of the negative thoughts going through your mind and next to them write down some more rational positive ones.

Mental Health Awareness Week

Tip 3. Exercise regularly.
Sometimes you can forget about the important things like looking after yourself. Exercise is a great tool for reducing depression and anxiety. Walking, swimming, jogging or classes are a great week to look after yourself. If you join a club you will grow your network with like minded people too.

Mental Health Awareness Week.

Tip 2. Learn to problem solve.
Often when something goes wrong we tend to catastrophise or think about the worst-case scenario. Ask yourself: What is the worst thing that can happen? How can I learn from this? What is the most likely thing that can happen? What is the best thing that can happen?

Things are never as bad as our mind makes out, sometimes just making time for awareness of the real situation is all you need to bring you back into a positive mindset. Sometimes you can feel great as you may have learnt something new about yourself.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. Over the next couple of days, I will share my top tips for building positive mental health.

Tip 1. Let people know how you feel.
Often we are afraid to tell people how we feel and what we are thinking. Speak to family members, colleagues, and friends or visit the several fantastic mental health charities like Mind and Rethink which can also help you.

Happy Earth Day.

"We need to act (boldly), innovate (broadly), and implement (equitably). It’s going to take all of us. All in. Businesses, governments, and citizens — everyone accounted for, and everyone accountable. A partnership for the planet." www.earthday.org

We try every day to make the world a greener place but we are upping the ante at Gable Cottage, starting with a coaching session (including the support from my 3 year old) to agree actions and review regularly to hold ourselves accountable. What will you do to make a difference?

Happy Siblings Day

This is my younger sister and I. She most definitely lives by this quote 🤣😂...

“If you don’t annoy your big sister for no good reason from time to time, she thinks you don’t love her anymore.”

I love her and I am lucky to have friends that will always be adopted sisters too.
Sometimes relationships can be difficult, family or not. Coaching can help you understand yourself and understand them better which will help to strengthen the relationship. Get in touch if you would like to find out more.
