🏀 OPEN NATIONAL LEAGUE TRIALS – DEVELOPMENT PLAYERS & EXTERNAL PLAYERS ONLY (2ND MAY)

Hi all,

We’re now opening up the first stage of National League trials for the 2026/27 season.

📅 Date: Saturday 2nd May
📍 Venue: Deer Park Secondary School
⏰ Time: 9:00am – 5:00pm (age groups scheduled throughout the day)

🔴 WHO IS THIS FOR?

This session is for:

👉 Development club players (Outlet / Warriors pathway)
👉 External players from other clubs

It is NOT for existing National League players
(U16s & U18s already in the programme do not need to attend)

🏀 AGE GROUPS

We are currently looking at:

🔸 U14s (Girls & Boys)

Players going into Year 8 or Year 9 in September

🔸 U16 Boys or U18s Mens

Players going into Year 10 or Year 11, or leaving secondary school and would be in year 12 or 13

Spots are limited as we already have a strong returning group

⚠️ IMPORTANT – COMMITMENT

National League is a big step up and requires:

Training 2x per week

Games every weekend (home & away)

Travel across the South of England

A 6-month season commitment

Financial commitment for the season, Which will be close to £80 per month

👉 It is very different from local league basketball and not for everyone.

🔍 SELECTION PROCESS

All players must complete the Show of Interest form

Applications will be reviewed before invitations

Some players may be advised to continue in development for now

👉 This is about placing players in the right environment for their development

💡 FINAL NOTE

We know National League isn’t for everyone — and that’s completely fine.

If you feel you have:

✔ The desire to compete at a higher level

Another close game, with a win and a loss in the Grassroots Basketball CIC Dev League.

The Whiteley Warriors Basketball CIC All Girls Basketball team win at home against Boorley Green Bucks with a thrilling last 4 secs 2 pointer to clinch the Win!

It was their 1st league game in the Grassroots Basketball CIC Dev League, and it was a cracker!

End to end action with both teams, never really getting ahead of each other by more than 2 points.

There was 1 point between the teams are the end of each quarter.

Both teams done a fantastic job, and special thanks to all the parents, and coaches for their support.

We're looking for more U12s, U14s and U16s to join us at Boorley Green Bucks to come in and train, and start playing team basketball.

This is a great opportunity to start your basketball journey or add to our existing player team and work towards national league spots for Whiteley Warriors Basketball CIC 🏀

We have an exciting summer tournament called the Triple 10 Showdown coming up from May 17th, which will allow parents to come in and watch their children play every other week.

Training is every week at Deer Park Secondary School 🏫 and the game days are also being played here.

1 hour sessions coached by Level 2 Coaches Gareth and Ben.

As a result of all the feedback we received from parents about game time and development teams, we listened and we have some exciting news!

Triple 10 Showdown: Everything You Need to Know

The Triple 10 Showdown is a Central Venue Tournament launched by Outlet Basketball, bringing together an exciting mix of teams: Fareham Falcons, Gosport Gunners, Whiteley Warriors, Boorley Green Bucks, and New Forest Novas.

Each game features two 10-minute halves with teams of 10 players, making for a fast-paced and engaging format. Spanning 10 weeks, this event offers a consistent schedule for players and fans alike.

What It Means:

For parents and players, the Triple 10 Showdown is more than just a competition—it's a chance to build community, foster sportsmanship, and create lasting memories. It's an excellent way to stay active and celebrate the love of basketball.
