Over the weekend, I spoke to a few people who told me they felt anxious about starting Beachfit.
It’s something I spend a lot of time thinking about because I know those feelings are completely understandable. Walking into any new fitness environment can feel daunting, especially if you’re not sure what to expect.
So I thought I’d share a little more about me and what Beachfit is all about.
As a PT, my biggest motivation is helping more people make fitness part of their lives. I work hard to create programmes that are effective but not overcomplicated. Most people don’t need endless complexity – they need consistency, support, and a plan that works.
I like to keep things enjoyable while still helping people get the most out of themselves. I’m fairly laid-back, but I’m also a bit of a fitness geek, always looking at ways to help people move well, move better, and feel stronger.
People who know me also know I love competitive sport. But fitness itself isn’t a competition.
Competitive people need fitness to help them compete. Everyone needs fitness to help them live healthier, stronger lives – physically and mentally.
Over time, I’ll share more of my thoughts and experiences, but these are a few words to get started.
If you’ve been thinking about giving Beachfit a try, there isn’t really a secret formula. Sometimes you just have to take a deep breath and give it a go.
Bringing a friend can help. Committing to a few sessions so you can settle in can help too.
The hardest part is often simply starting.
Over to you... what’s holding you back from taking that first step?
