HaHawarden Strollers Walking Football Club PrPrestatyn Walking Football Clubver 60’s, joined forces yesterday to compete in a charity game in aid of, men’s mental health, at Newtown FC in mid wales.

Results were,

Won v Llanfair 2-0
Lost v Cwmbran 1-0
Lost v Wrexham 2-1
Lost v Cardiff 1-0

Unfortunately results didn’t go our way, we could’ve won all 4 games …but a couple of lapses in concentration cost us dearly! That’s football!
Overall the team (hastily arranged) all played with great skill, determination and discipline… very well done!
Thanks to the guys from Prestatyn and Ian Stewart for stepping in.

Very well done to all players, as always you did HSWFC proud.

Hawarden Strollers Walking Football Club’s recently formed over 65’s team, played their first ever National Cup game on Wednesday night 19/05/26 against a strong Neston side. Unfortunately the lads lost 3-0, but the score flattered Neston, as we played some really good football and their keeper made a few good saves. It just wasn’t to be this year, but we will get stronger as a team, and go again next year. Unlucky lads, onwards and upwards 💪🏻💪🏻⚽️⚽️

Hawarden Strollers Walking Football Club continue to support our friends at the Flintshire Foodbank.

Dean Tunstall is seen here with Sue Leake of the Foodbank, delivering in 36 Kilos of much needed food. This was only possible thanks to the generosity and support of all our players, managers, and committee members — a great effort all round, so thank you.

Sue has asked me to pass on her grateful thanks and sincere appreciation for HSWFC’s continued support. It really does make a difference.

Thanks again to everyone for your amazing support,

Dean

Our over 60’s played their first round National Cup game away at Neston Nomads last night. Unfortunately the result was a 4-1 defeat. Dean Tunstall, was the stand in manager for the game, and was very pleased with the players, who at times, controlled the game, but just couldn’t get the goals they needed. The lads did their best against a strong Neston side. Onwards and upwards lads 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Last Saturday April 25th saw both our 50’s and 60’s teams start their respective walking football league games at the new venue in Ruthin. Our 60’s team got off to a good start in the first set of games, winning 2 drawing 1 and losing 1.

60s results from this morning.
Prestatyn 0-0
Llanfair 2-0 Al 2
Connahs Quay 0-3
Coedpoeth 1-0 John.

Unfortunately, the 50’s team didn’t have the luck of the 60’s.

Unfortunately the 50’s team didn’t do as well.

Drew 0-0 Henllan
Lost 2-0 CQ Nomads
Lost 1-0 Brymbo
Lost 1-0 Wrexham
Lost 2-0 Mold
Lost 2-0 Amlwch

The last game was a default as by that stage the 50’s only had 5 players and one of those, Roy had just lost a tooth and Martin had banged his head.

The 50’s forgot to take a photo of the team, so AI generated a picture of the scene at the end. 🙈🙈😃😃

I’m sure both teams will be better in the next set of games in July. Onwards and upwards The Strollers 👍🏻👍🏻⚽️⚽️
