I am excited to share with you my latest certification! 💕

Not only am I an ABTC ATI, certified Equine Positive Reinforcement Trainer and Coach but I have also now completed and passed the necessary training and assessment to be recognised as a Trauma Informed Horse Trainer with Understand Horses 🙌

This has been on my wishlist for some time too so to have now achieved it makes me so happy.

It also means I can now bring even more knowledge, skill and more importantly awareness of the impact of trauma on horses and ponies to my work.

This one also has a special place for me for a number of reasons: firstly in my other work, I work alongside people who have experienced multiple disadvantage often due to significant trauma in their lives and secondly, many of the horses and ponies who we have come to know as ‘family’ have had significant trauma in their pasts too. This training and certification brings together the experiences I have seen, heard about and done my best to support both humans and horses with for over 20+ years.

Well done to all those who took this course with me too. You are all such inspirational people and it makes me so humbled and happy to know that you are out there helping horses and ponies to feel safer, happier and really listened to 💕

Easy Fly Protection Application Training Package:

So, just as we get over the wettest Winter in however many years here in the UK and now seem to be in the driest Spring, of course now we have to face the inevitable ‘fly season’ 🪰 and it’s combination of fly masks, sprays, lotions and potion….all to keep our horses comfortable during the Summer months. For those of us with Sweet Itch ponies, it’s on a whole other level too….

Does it all fill you with a bit of dread and memories of following your horses around the field or while they fidget about on a tie ring, while trying to spray them and change various masks and fly rugs etc?

Well, now is the time to change all that! Time to make the whole process nicer for your horses and sooooo much easier for you!

In most situations, it could literally take a couple of sessions using positive reinforcement and ethical scientific based training and coaching, with some ‘homework’ in between, and you probably never need to worry about it being a challenge again… The bonus is I’ll teach you how to teach your horse what you’re asking of them.
