🚨 Results 🚨

What a great way to end our 2023 league season!
The 1st XI got their 2nd win of the season - largely thanks to fact the opposition cried off and didn’t want to play us.
The 2nd XI had it all to play for with 5 teams all with a chance of gaining promotion from their league. Other results went our way and Pett claimed their 30 points, which means they were promoted!
A very tidy bowling display, led by 3/28 from Stuart Ware, meant Pett were chasing 133 to win. At 50/7, it wasn’t looking great. But a solid 34 from Fagan and then a match winning innings of 48* from Oakman (POTW) saw us to victory by 2 wickets!

We’ll claim it as our first 60 pointer of the season!

It’s the final weekend of the Sussex Cricket League!
The 1st XI have earned their second 30 pointer of the season already as Barcombe were unable to raise a side for the final game.
The 2nd XI have everything to play for as they play Hastings Priory 3s . 5 teams can still take the 2nd promotion place, so fingers crossed for 30 points and other results to go our way!

🏏 Results 🏏

Not the results we wanted, with both teams unfortunately losing at the weekend.
The 2nd XI got very close and just missed out by 3 runs, a great effort to chase 181, led by 67 from opener, Joel.
This means the final weekend is very interesting in the division, with multiple teams fighting for the second promotion spot.

Not so close for the 1st XI with them losing by 9wkts at East Dean. It’s been a difficult season for the side, but well done to everyone for sticking at it!

1 game left for both sides in the league this year, can we finally get a 60 pointer?!

Just 2 weeks left and it’s all to play for, for Pett 2s. They host Seaford at The Recreation Ground in search of an important win in their push for promotion.

The first XI make the journey to East Dean looking to finish the season with some pride.

🏏 Weekend Results 🏏

The 2nd XI continued their push towards promotion with a very impressive win against Little Common. A Player Of The Week performance from Glenn Oakman helped bowl the opposition out for 105, which was knocked off with the loss of just 4 wickets.
Just 2 games left now in a very tight race for promotion in the division.

Quite the opposite for the 1st XI who lost again, which all but confirms they will be relegated. Chasing a very unlikely 347, they came 213 runs short!

Good luck to the 2nd XI and keep the good momentum going for the remaining fixtures!

Both sides are back in action this weekend.
The 1st XI are still looking for their second win of the season and will be hoping it comes this weekend at home vs Fletching.
The 2nd XI are fighting for promotion in a very close battle at the end of the season. They travel to Little Common with the hope of claiming the full 30 points.

With the 2nd XI being gifted the 30 points, it was just the 1st XI playing at the weekend.
Chiddingly showed their class with some superb catches and accurate bowling, dismissing us for just 45. They then made light work of the chase against the 10 men of Pett.

We move on to this weekend with both sides back in action! 🏏
