Steppers cancelled this morning !

My apologies- I’ll have to cancel steppers this morning, I’m unwell and it would be unfair to expect you to take class while I’m feeling like this. I will still be having a morning walk with the adults at the same place if you’d like to join but I definitely can’t jump around and dance.

Thank you for understanding ❤️

You don’t have to be the most sociable person in the room to look after your social health. ❤️

In fact, I hear it all the time…

“I’m not really a social person.”
“I prefer my own company.”
“I don’t really like people.” 😅

But when you start to unpick what’s underneath that, I think there’s often much more to it.

By the time we reach this stage of life, most of us have been hurt somewhere along the way. Fallouts with colleagues. Friendships that changed or ended. Family relationships that became complicated. Times we trusted people and wished we hadn’t.

And after enough of those experiences, staying in your own little bubble can feel like the safest option (I’m with you on that !) No drama. No disappointment. No rejection. No having to explain yourself.

And truth is, I know so many people will relate to that.

But something really lovely happens when you gently open yourself up again — particularly when you find people who share similar values, outlooks and life experiences.

Your nervous system can start to realise that connection doesn’t always have to mean danger, pressure or drama. It can mean safety, laughter, belonging and joy.

You know the saying, “Sometimes it’s easier to talk to a complete stranger”?

There’s something in that.

No history. No preconceived ideas about who you are. No need to live up to an old version of yourself. No judgement about the choices you’ve made.

You can simply turn up as you, today.

And that’s one of my favourite things about our social events.

A group of strangers arrive, perhaps feeling slightly nervous and wondering what on earth they’ve signed themselves up for… 😂

And then the conversations start.

Someone makes someone else laugh. Stories get shared. People realise how much they have in common. Guards come down. Plans get made.

And a group of strangers looking for fun, adventure and new experiences can end up leaving as friends. ❤️

That matters more than we sometimes realise.

Social health is part of our overall wellbeing. Positive relationships can give us emotional support, a sense of belonging and opportunities to be active, laugh, learn and experience new things. And the people around us can influence our habits and outlook too.

Surround yourself with people who are motivated, positive and excited about life, and some of that energy starts rubbing off on you.

You might hear about the walk someone has done and think, I could do that.

Someone talks about trying something completely new and suddenly you feel brave enough to try it too.

Someone has an idea and instead of hearing “Why would you do that?” you hear…

“That sounds brilliant,…. When ?” 🙌🏼
THAT is the kind of energy you want more of in my life.

And we’ve got some wonderful social events coming up designed around exactly that — connection without pressure, new experiences, laughter, adventure and spending time with people who want a little more from life.

You don’t have to be an extrovert.

You don’t have to walk into a room and talk to everyone.

And you definitely don’t need to arrive knowing anybody.

You just have to be brave enough to turn up.

Because perhaps looking after your health isn’t only about what you eat, how many steps you do or how often you exercise.

Maybe sometimes it’s saying yes to the invitation.

Meeting the stranger.

Having the conversation.

Laughing until your face hurts.

Trying something new.

And finding people who remind you that there is still so much life left to experience. ❤️

I’ll be updating some events today so keep your eyes peeled 👀

If you could be anyone you wanted to be - what would that look like ?

I’ve been thinking about that question a lot.

Not what would you have?
Not what would you achieve?
Not what would make you look successful to everyone else?

But who would you be?

For me, I think it looks like a woman who keeps growing.

Someone who has ideas with the courage to follow them. Someone who makes plans, but leaves enough room for adventure. Someone who works hard and wants to make a difference, while finally understanding that looking after herself matters too.

I want to explore more.
Create more.
Learn more.
Get outside more.
Look after my health.
Make progress on the things that matter to me.

And I want to keep becoming someone I’m proud of — not because I’ve got everything figured out, but because I’m willing to keep going.

I think sometimes we wait for permission to become the person we secretly want to be.

We tell ourselves we’ll start when we have more time, more confidence, more money, fewer responsibilities, or when life finally feels a little less complicated.

But what if we stopped waiting?

What if you wore the clothes that felt like you? Took the trip. Started the business. Changed direction. Went for the walk. Learned the thing. Said no to what was draining you and yes to what made you feel alive.

What if becoming yourself wasn’t one huge, brave decision?

What if it was hundreds of small ones?

I’m still figuring out exactly who I want to become. My plans will probably change. My dreams will get bigger. I’ll get things wrong, change my mind and start again.

But maybe that’s the point.

I don’t want a life that simply looks good from the outside. I want one that feels good to wake up to. A life filled with nature, wellness, adventure, purpose, good ideas, meaningful work, good people and plenty of reasons to be grateful.

So if there’s a version of you that you keep imagining, give yourself permission to start becoming them.

You don’t need to change everything today.

Just make one decision your future self would be proud of.

Because the person you want to be isn’t waiting somewhere in the future.

You’re creating them right now - have a wonderful weekend ❤️

I saw this yesterday and thought: this is so me. 🍋

Apparently, there’s a word for something I’ve been doing for years without even realising it had a name :

Lemonading.

It’s the ability to take the problems, setbacks and unexpected turns life throws at you and think, “Okay… this isn’t what I wanted. But what can I do with it?”

And I think it’s a pretty good way to live.

Not because everything happens for a reason (god,I hate that saying !) And definitely not because we should force ourselves to be positive when something is genuinely hard.

Sometimes things are just s**t. End of.

You’re allowed to be disappointed. You’re allowed to have a wobble. You’re allowed to wish things had turned out differently.

But eventually, you have a choice about where you go from there.

For me, it’s about trying to shift from “Why is this happening?” to “What can I do with what I’ve got?”

A few things that help me:

🍋 Focus on what I can control and stop wasting energy fighting what I can’t.

🍋 Ask, “What could this teach me?” — even if I don’t have the answer yet.

🍋 Look for the opportunity I might not have noticed if everything had gone to plan.

🍋 Take the next small step instead of needing to know the whole route.

🍋 Zoom out. Ask myself whether this will feel as big in six months or a year as it does today.

And probably the biggest one: trust that I’ll figure it out.

Because when I look back, some of the things that felt like the biggest setbacks at the time ended up changing my direction in ways I’m incredibly grateful for.

That doesn’t mean I’d choose every difficult experience again.

It just means I’ve learned that when life hands me something I didn’t order, I’m actually pretty good at figuring out how to come back stronger.

So here’s to lemonading. 🍋

Feel it. Deal with it. Learn from it. Make something from it. And be proud of yourself for still going.

Have a great day 🥰

A reminder - turn the alarm off, no steppers in the morning , will let you know about next week ❤️

Good morning ❤️

I saw a quote recently that really stayed with me:

“You will grow differently when you’re surrounded by people who water you instead of drain you.”

And it got me thinking about growth.

Growth isn’t only for the times when we’re unhappy with our lives. You can love your life, be grateful for where you are, and still want to grow. In fact, I think that’s one of the most beautiful kinds of growth — not running away from something, but continuing to become more while appreciating everything you already have.

I’m a big believer that people, situations and life itself can always teach us something important. Some people teach us what we want more of. Others teach us what we’ll never accept again. Some situations bring out strengths we didn’t know we had, and even the difficult chapters can leave us with wisdom we wouldn’t have gained any other way.

So surround yourself with people who inspire you, challenge you, support you and genuinely want to see you grow. 🌱

Stay curious. Stay teachable. Keep meeting new people, trying new things and allowing your mind to be challenged and inspired.

You don’t have to dislike where you are to be excited about where you’re going.

Love your life — and never stop growing within it.

Have a beautiful day ❤️✨

GOOD MORNING 💚

What a fabulous weekend… the kind that leaves your legs tired, your heart happy and your cup feeling very full. ✨

From an incredible 27-mile hike — yes, 27 MILES! 🥾😅 — to the most gorgeous day yesterday at Pool Bridge Farm, watching some of our Steppers brave a wild swim in those stunning lakes before warming up with a fabulous lakeside sauna. 🏊‍♀️🔥🌿

Fresh air. Cold water. Movement. Laughter. Friendship. Challenge. Connection.

All the good stuff.

But do you know what has filled my cup the most this weekend?

The beautiful little messages I’ve received and the conversations I’ve had about this community and the people within it. 💚

People noticing how much stronger they’ve become.

How much fitter they feel.

How their confidence is growing.

How getting outside, moving their bodies and being surrounded by positive, empowering people is helping them not just physically, but mentally too.

And I LOVE that.

Because what we’re creating is about so much more than steps, hikes, swims or fitness.

It’s about lifting each other up.

It’s about being around people who encourage you, inspire you and remind you what you’re capable of.

It’s finding the courage to try something you might never have imagined yourself doing… and having a group of people beside you saying, “Come on, you’ve got this.” 🥰

That is powerful.

So as we start another brand-new week, ask yourself one simple question…

✨ What can I do today to fill MY cup? ✨

It doesn’t have to be a 27-mile hike. 😂

Go for a little walk.
Drink your water.
Stretch your body.
Put your favourite music on.
Sit outside with your morning coffee.
Message someone who makes you smile.
Take ten quiet minutes just for YOU.

Start your week by doing one simple thing that makes you feel GOOD.

Because when your own cup is a little fuller, you have so much more to give to everything — and everyone — around you.

Here’s to another week of moving, laughing, connecting, getting stronger and lifting each other higher. 💚

Fill your cup first… then go and make this week a good one. ✨
