Good morning ❤️

Life often has a way of reminding us that it is both messy and beautiful, often at the same time.

Some of you know that life has been particularly messy for me lately. The breakdown of my six-year relationship has brought emotions I never expected to face. Yet through it, I’ve been reminded of something many of us need to hear: even when life doesn’t go to plan, beauty still exists if we’re willing to look for it.

We often become so consumed by what’s happening around us we forget the most beautiful moments happen in the uncertainty.

It might be a quiet morning coffee in the sunshine.A conversation with a friend who truly listens.A walk in nature that clears your mind.A laugh that catches you by surprise when you thought you couldn't smile. A stunning sunset.

So if there is one thing I would encourage you to do today, it is this: pause and notice the beauty already present in your life. Not the big milestones or grand achievements, but the simple moments that often go unnoticed. They are the threads that weave together a meaningful life.

And trust that some of the most beautiful chapters are written after the hardest endings.

Following yesterday’s post, a number of people reached out saying it was exactly what they needed to hear, and asked about some tools to help with mindset and emotional regulation. This is something I created that I use …The "I AM" Hand Mnemonic Exercise.

When life feels overwhelming, our minds often become filled with self-doubt, worry, and negative self-talk. One simple way to interrupt that cycle is through a hand mnemonic.

What is a Hand Mnemonic?

A mnemonic is a tool that helps us remember information. By combining touch, movement, and positive affirmations, a hand mnemonic creates a stronger connection between your thoughts and your actions.

When you touch each finger while saying a positive statement, you're engaging multiple parts of the brain at the same time. This helps improve focus, reinforces positive thinking, and creates a calming, grounding effect.

The physical touch acts as an anchor, helping your brain associate each finger with a positive belief about yourself. Over time, these messages become easier to recall, especially during stressful moments.

So, take a slow breath in.

Starting with your thumb, gently touch each finger and say:

👍 Thumb:I am worthy.

☝️ Index Finger:I am enough.

🖕 Middle Finger:I am strong.

💍 Ring Finger:I am loved.

🤏 Little Finger:I am capable.

(You can change the words to your own if it helps) Take another slow breath and allow those words to settle.

Why Does It Work?

This exercise combines:

• Positive affirmations• Mindful breathing• Physical movement• Sensory awareness

Together, these help calm the nervous system, reduce mental overwhelm, and gently shift your focus away from negative thoughts.

The more often you practise it, the more familiar and believable these affirmations become. You're training your brain to notice your strengths rather than your struggles.

Try practising this exercise: First thing in the morning• Whenever you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed• Before an important meeting or event• Before bed

Even 30 seconds can make a difference.

Aim for at least 3 times a day for the best results.

Remember, confidence isn't built in one big moment. It's built through small daily reminders that you are worthy, enough, strong, loved, and capable.

And on the days when you don't feel like yourself, let this be your reminder:

You are still enough ❤️

🔥🏃‍♀️ RUN & RAVE LADIES ABSOLUTELY SMASHED IT LAST NIGHT! 🏃‍♀️🔥

Last night was one of those sessions that reminds us exactly why we started this journey💜

A group of our amazing ladies achieved a massive milestone by completing our first 4K run in UNDER 30 MINUTES! 🎉👏

For most of them it was something they never thought they'd be able to do just a few weeks or months ago. But every single one of them showed up, dug deep, and proved just how strong they really are.

What makes me most proud isn't just the times or the distances—it's the support. The cheering. The encouragement. The "you've got this" when someone felt like stopping. The celebrating at the finish line. That's what Run & Rave is all about. ❤️

These ladies didn't just run 4K last night...

✨ They built confidence.✨ They pushed past self-doubt.✨ They inspired each other.✨ They proved that consistency pays off.

And the best part?

🚀 THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING! 🚀

Bigger goals. Faster times. Longer distances. More confidence. More wins.

To every single lady who took part last night: be incredibly proud of yourself. You achieved something amazing and you earned every step of it.

🌞 Holiday Time…. and a Little Break for Silent Steppers! 🌞

I’ve been mentioning it lots at class but just a little update to let you all know that I'm heading off on holiday tomorrow, which means Silent Steppers will be taking a short break for 10 days .

However, there is two very special exception! 💃

Saturday mornings at 8:30am, (no 9.45am class) the lovely Leanne will be leading a session at Ward Jackson Park. Leanne brings fantastic energy, enthusiasm, and great vibes wherever she goes, so I know you'll have an amazing session with her.

As many of you know, this is quite a big step for me, heading away and leaving Steppers and the Academy behind for a little while. But I know this break will give me the chance to relax, reset, and recharge. I'm also squeezing in a bit of training while I'm away, which I'm really excited about!

I'm looking forward to coming back refreshed, full of new ideas, and ready to bring you even more exciting classes and sessions.

I see you.🥹

The one who's been holding everything together while quietly struggling on the inside.

The one who's smiling for everyone else but feels exhausted when no one's looking.

The one who's been carrying the weight of work, family, responsibilities, and life's challenges, wondering why you don't quite feel like yourself lately.

If that's you, please know this: you're not alone.

Just know that if you're not feeling like yourself at the moment and you can't quite put your finger on why, that's perfectly normal. We all have moments when we don't feel like ourselves, some last a day and some often a lot longer.

Life can be overwhelming. We get so busy that our minds never seem to switch off. Everything moves so fast that it's hard to think clearly. We stop prioritising ourselves, neglecting the things that help us feel valued, confident, and good enough.

Please remember that you're not alone. I think every single person I've spoken to has felt this way at one time or another.

Let's normalise having off days. Let's normalise asking for help. Let's normalise taking a step back when we need to and speaking about things.

More importantly, let's make sure we have the right tools, strategies, and support around us to help us feel good about ourselves again and remember everything you bring.

Be kind to yourself and give yourself the same compassion you so freely give to others.

You've got this. One day at a time.

Good morning everyone 🥰

Just a reminder that Steady Steppers is cancelled this morning as I'm away today. Classes will be running as normal on Monday and Tuesday.

We had a great conversation after class yesterday about what Steppers is doing for people and why it's so important for longevity and healthy ageing.

With yesterday's classes clocking up over 8,500 steps each, we're doing so much more than just walking. We're supporting cognitive development through learning and remembering routines, improving arm strength and upper-body mobility, building muscle strength to help us stay independent, and developing co-ordination to make everyday movements easier and safer.

Our balance work helps reduce the risk of falls and increases confidence in movement. The stretching improves flexibility, mobility and joint health, while our breathwork supports relaxation, lung health and stress management. We work on posture and alignment, helping us move more efficiently and comfortably.

Some of you are even adding in a little running to improve stamina, cardiovascular fitness and endurance. We're also enhancing reaction times, spatial awareness, agility and functional fitness—all things that help us stay active and capable in daily life.

Add in being outdoors in the natural elements, enjoying fresh air, sunlight and sensory stimulation, boosting mood and wellbeing through connection with nature. Pair that with singing, dancing, laughter, friendship, support, purpose and great company, and you've got a little glimpse of what Steppers really is.

Because you are not here to shrink yourselves, hide, or apologise for being YOU !!

Over the last year, I've watched many people try to copy the Silent Steppers model. Some may replicate parts of what we do, but they can never replicate who we are.

And while we're on the subject... make sure you're investing your time, money, health and wellbeing with qualified instructors and wellness practitioners who hold the correct qualifications, licences, permits, risk assessments and years of experience in mental health and wellbeing. 😉 There is a difference.

What makes Silent Steppers unique isn't just the classes. It's our values.

We are a community that encourages you to be unapologetically YOU, know your worth, and recognise how far you've come.

We show up for ourselves, especially on the days we want to hide. We honour every scar, setback, lesson and challenge we've survived, and we stand confidently in our stories so others feel inspired to keep going.

WHAT IS HAPPENING !!!!! 🤩🥹✨

I've just opened my emails and discovered that we've been shortlisted as a finalist in the Inclusive Dance Practice category at the UK Dance Awards in London for our inclusive SEND Dance Classes!

As part of the Wellness, Lifestyle and Learning Academy we teach SEND dance classes and around six months ago, I completed a statement after being sent a link asking some questions, honestly, I never imagined anything would come from it as it was UK wide, however we’ve been recognised !!

Our dancers are nothing short of incredible. They are powerful, inspiring, creative and courageous. Every week they challenge themselves to learn choreography, explore movement, share their ideas, and bring so much joy and energy into the class. Watching them grow in confidence, independence and self-expression is a privilege.

This recognition belongs to every single dancer who turns up, gives their all, supports one another and continues to show what inclusive dance can achieve.

Huge congratulations to each and every one of you. You are absolutely thriving, and we couldn't be prouder! ❤️
