💙💛 Charity football at its absolute best!

Unfortunately, the result didn’t quite go our way this time, but it was fantastic to see both teams coming together to raise money for such important causes. 👏

The match was played in a wonderful, competitive yet light-hearted spirit, with some great football on show from both sides. 🙌

Shine Bright FC 2 ⚽ Barge & Barrel FC 3

First of all, what an immense team effort by the Bright lads 👏💛. Considering we started out as just a group of mates kicking a ball about on a five-a-side pitch, with some players in the squad having no football league experience, we completely controlled last night's game from start to finish.

On any other day, if we had just converted a few of our numerous chances, the final scoreline would have looked completely different. We were truly so unlucky not to come away with more.

We are proud of every single lad who represented the club last night 💪. They showed top-tier quality on the ball, composure, fierce passion, and a relentless fighting spirit and belief that didn't let up until the final whistle blew 🔥⚽.

We dust ourselves down and head straight off to the Beacon of Light for today’s game, and we can’t wait! 🙌

🚐⚽ Tomorrow night, we’re back on the road to Silksworth for a huge rematch against Barge & Barrel FC. ⚔️🔥

Then Saturday, we head over to the Beacon of Light 📍🏟️ to take on Men Together Chester-le-Street in a fast-paced 1-hour battle. ⏱️⚡

🙌 A huge shoutout to G. Bennett, C. Robinson, and J. Brown for representing Shine Bright FC this evening , making the trip over to HSNSG to officially hand over our fundraising total so far. 🤝💙

🎉 Together as a team, we have officially raised £463.30! 💷🎉

👏 What an incredible achievement 🏅 for our very first couple of months as a charity-focused football club. ⚽💙

📉 The poor run continues. We started strong and took the lead with real confidence ⚽, but errors cost us dearly against a clinical opponent.

👏 Huge thanks to Barge & Barrel for hosting a great match, and a massive thank you for the generous donations made toward our chosen charity, HSNSG 💙. We truly appreciate the effort from everyone at your club.

We are thrilled to launch our newest community initiative: a safe, welcoming space for anyone and everyone who wants to get involved, connect, and look out for one another. 🤝🧠💙

Football is what brings us together, but our support doesn’t stop at the final whistle. ⚽️ Moving forward, we will be running one non-football activity every single month, giving everyone a chance to switch off, step away from whatever challenges they might be facing, and have a laugh with the lads. 😊🙌
