WE’VE DONE IT AGAIN… £1,151 RAISED! 💚🏏

Just when we thought we couldn’t be any more grateful, we’ve had another two incredibly generous donations.

A huge well done and thank you to Jessie, one of our own girls, who has added another £20 in sponsor money to the total.

And another massive thank you to Simon Lofthouse for an incredibly generous £130 donation.

That now brings the total raised for our Junior Girls section to an unbelievable…

£1,151!!!

We are honestly blown away by the support this team continues to receive.

Every donation, every share, every sponsor and every person who has backed these girls has helped us build something really special.

What a community we have.

What a night for our Junior Girls! 💚🏏

Tonight we held our 2026 Junior Girls Presentation Evening, and it was the perfect way to celebrate what has been such an incredible first season for this team.

From starting with just a handful of girls to now having nearly 20 players involved, the progress has been amazing to watch. The girls have grown so much in confidence, ability and teamwork, and every single one of them had something to be proud of.

We presented our five special awards before every girl received her own Player of the Season trophy and certificate, each recognising something unique that she has brought to the team this year.

A huge congratulations to:

Coaches’ Award – Lana Ebblewhite
Best Batter – Orla Armstrong
Best Bowler – Libby Spellman
Most Improved Player – Ayda Edwards
Future Star – Olivia Ede

And of course, a massive well done to every single one of our girls. You have made this first season incredibly special and we could not be prouder of you all.

We also want to say a huge thank you to Diane from Occasions By Diane for the amazing buffet, and for doing such a brilliant job as our official award giver for the evening! 💚

And another big thank you to Katherine McKeen for the cupcakes they definitely went down a treat! 🧁

Thank you as always to all of our parents, grandparents and families for your support throughout the season and for making the evening so special.

This group has become far more than just a cricket team. It is a little community, and we are so excited to see where the next season takes us.

£1,001 RAISED… WE ARE COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY! 💚

Following our presentation evening, we just wanted to say the biggest THANK YOU to everyone who has supported and donated to our Junior Girls section.

From parents and grandparents, to friends, supporters and those who have sent in late donations every single contribution has helped us get to an unbelievable total of…

£1,001!!!

We are honestly overwhelmed by the generosity shown towards these girls.

A very special thank you must also go to Sumpoilers MCC and Park Road Garage for their incredible £300 donation. To receive that level of support from local businesses and groups means so much to us and will make a huge difference to what we can provide for the girls going forward.

Every penny raised will be put back into the junior girls section, helping towards equipment, winter training costs and creating more opportunities for them to play and develop.

When we started this team, we could never have imagined the amount of support we would receive from our families and wider community. Knowing that so many people believe in what we are trying to build is genuinely very special.

We will be forever grateful to every person who has donated, walked, shared, supported, sponsored or simply got behind our girls this season.

31 DAYS. 465,000 STEPS. ONE VERY SPECIAL FINISH. 💚⛰️🏏

And what a way to end it.

Today, Lauren completed the final day of her walking challenge by taking on Roseberry Topping, surrounded by the girls, their families, members of the ladies team and everyone who has supported her along the way.

Seeing everyone walking together today was exactly what this challenge has been about, community, friendship and giving our girls every opportunity to keep playing the game they love.

And we can finally say…

WE HAVE RAISED £546 FOR OUR GIRLS’ TEAM!! 🥹

Honestly, thank you doesn’t feel enough.

To every single person who donated, shared our posts, sent encouragement, joined in with the videos, walked alongside Lauren or simply followed the chaos for the last month, you have been incredible.

That £546 will go straight back into supporting our growing girls’ section, helping with equipment, winter training and keeping cricket accessible for every girl who wants to be part of it.

And Lauren… what an achievement. 15,000 steps every single day for 31 days, through heat, rain, working away, cricket matches and plenty of questionable moments and she never missed a day.

We couldn’t be prouder of you.

Challenge complete. Roseberry conquered. £546 raised.

DAY 31… THE FINAL ONE!

After 30 days, 450,000 steps and a whole lot of chaos… Lauren and the girls are heading up Roseberry Topping to finish this challenge in style!

We are so incredibly proud of you, Lauren. You’ve done all of this to support our growing girls’ team, and today they get to be right there beside you for the final climb.

And we’ve now raised an amazing £416!! 💚

DAY 28… COMPLETE!

Today’s challenge came with a little twist… shopping edition!

To Lauren’s absolute delight, the cricket was on and instead of sitting watching it, she was wandering around the shops getting those steps in. Safe to say she was thrilled.

But… 15,000 DONE and dusted by 4pm! You’re welcome, Lauren.

A huge thank you again to everyone who has donated so far. We are genuinely so grateful for every bit of support you’ve given Lauren and our girls.

There’s still time to donate before the big finale on Bank Holiday Monday, 31st August, when Lauren and the girls take on Roseberry Topping! ⛰️

ONLY 4 DAYS LEFT!!

After 27 days of walking, chaos, questionable decisions and the girls making sure she has absolutely no chance of giving up, the finish line is actually in sight.

And there’s just one rather large hill standing between Lauren and the end…

It’s for a good cause!! 🙂 😅
