I mostly lift weights and run occasionally โ€” my max run is 10km, but usually I stick to 5km. My 5km PB is 26 minutes, which is not bad ๐Ÿ˜… But honestly, without music, running feels like a battle in my head and total torture. ๐ŸŽง

If youโ€™re like me and want to make running less painful and more enjoyable, here are my top 7 running hacks that keep me going:

1๏ธโƒฃ Create or find a playlist - I stick to songs around 120-140 beats per minute. It keeps my pace steady and my mind focused. If music isnโ€™t your thing, try a podcast, anything to distract your brain.

2๏ธโƒฃ Take breaks when needed - Donโ€™t be afraid to slow down or walk. Itโ€™s better to keep moving than to burn out early.

3๏ธโƒฃ Use a running guide app - with a running coach app that talks through the session. It feels like someoneโ€™s there to guide you.

4๏ธโƒฃ Make it routine - Pick fixed days for running so your body and mind get used to the habit.

5๏ธโƒฃ Listen to your body - When it starts to give up, focus on what feels good instead.

6๏ธโƒฃ Positive self-talk - Remind yourself youโ€™re doing great. โ€œOne step at a time,โ€ โ€œYouโ€™ve got this,โ€ really help when the mind gets tough.

7๏ธโƒฃ Nose breathing - It helps me stay calm and keeps my breathing steady, which is a game-changer during runs.
