Back to lifting heavy again

Took a break over the last year or so as I was just trying to run faster and I kept telling my self it’s all good I’m strong enough for HYROX. All I cared about was running faster KMs

Now I want to get stronger again.

Been on a programme for 6 weeks now and the strength is coming back

180 for 4 on the back squat. Feels good and the legs are coming back!

215 for 3 on the deadlift. I feel like my deadlift has not increased in 10 years 😅 neithers my squat tbf.

100 for 3 on the bench press. Not impressive at all but at the start of the block it was 40kg. I’ve been recovering from a shoulder ni**le that has massively improved but through different injections and rest it’s got very weak and I’ve just been too nervous to train it properly. It’s been a couple years now. Hopefully I’ll stop bringing it up as an excuse soon.

2026 is here and I wouldn’t change a thing.

It looks nothing like what I wanted 10 years ago. But I’m kinda glad looking back on it!
