Today our Bevers started to learn the Surrey Six knots and did very well! The Cubs practised making a stir fry for camp and did it all so efficiently and tidied up that they had time for a game of toilet roll hockey. The Scouts also made stir fry, making twice as much mess and with some interesting techniques shall we say…

This evening the super 10th Fulham Phoenix Squirrels were scientists and looking at how different liquids melt ice to get the mini animals out of the glaciers.

The Cubs did a sports day practice so we can win the West London Scouts sports day. We were so proud of how they worked together and encouraged each other. They are all from different backgrounds and schools and families and ethnic groups but at Cubs they are like family.

This sort of thing gives us hope for all of our futures.

We’ve got a new baby!

Very soon this lovely lady and her family will be live streamed thanks to The Pi Hut helping us with our STEAM programme and thanks to ANTS HQ for inspiring us!

Last day of the half term for 10th Fulham Scouts Pioneers and our Beavers make mini hot air balloons, the Cubs made space re-entry vehicles with eggstronauts (eggs coloured into be astronauts) and the Scouts finished their electric lights by adding a switch and made snores on trangias. All in all a super end of the half term!

Our Scouts started learning some basic electrics as part of our STEAM programme and a look at trades and other AI proof jobs they might want to do. Everything passed safety checks and we had a lot of working lights! Well done to them all!

The Cubs learned about satellites today as part of their Space badge. Poundland supplied stuff so they can invent their own satellites with a working solar powered light! We sprayed them silver and gold. Epic amounts of hot glue were used so obviously one of our leaders has gold fingernails and burns… tut.
