📣 Berkshire clubs - Funding Opportunity Now Open!

We’re delighted to share that Get Berkshire Active’s Workforce Development Grant 2026/2027 is now open for applications! 🙌

This grant is designed to support individuals looking to start a career in physical activity, upskill, or gain qualifications to deliver safe, inclusive, and high-quality sessions within their communities.
💡 Who is it for?
✅ People aged 16+ living or working in Berkshire
✅ New or aspiring coaches
✅ Volunteers and community deliverers
✅ Those supporting priority or underrepresented groups
✅ Individuals facing financial or personal barriers to training
🎓 What can the grant fund?
✔️ Coaching qualifications (Level 1, Level 2, sport-specific awards)
✔️ CPD and specialist training (e.g. menopause awareness, cancer rehab, exercise for older adults)
✔️ Training that boosts inclusion, confidence, and delivery skills

Now less than two weeks to go!

Good morning sailors, it's Friday and that means there are only two weeks until the East Coast Piers Race weekend at Marconi Sailing Club ⛵️

If you haven't already now is the time to join the 24 other sailors who have entered for the annual tour of the East Coast's Piers in aid of our local charities Cirdan Sailing Trust and Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.
