“I had been stuck with my Mum Tum for years, I just gave up trying as nothing ever worked for me!”

This is what my client said to me before writing this, she was frustrated and not confident in the skin she was born in! Fed up of trying everything under the sun to get rid of her mum tum, it ruined her confidence in who she was! She was stuck in a cycle of yo-yo dieting, starving herself during the week only to overeat & drink on the weekends. She thought the only way to lose weight was to eat less and do endless cardio, but that approach left her feeling drained and defeated and stuck in a constant cycle of never being happy within her body.

The first step was breaking that cycle and showing her the road map, planning as much into the future as we possibly could. We introduced structured nutrition, showing her she could still eat the foods she loved—but in moderation. Instead of extreme restrictions, we focused on balance, but also including a load of whole foods and protein which helped her eat more than she ever would before while still losing weight. We combined weight training and cardio, helping her tone up and actually see progress without feeling deprived.

She even got to go out to multiple brunches, strapped with our guide on how to go and enjoy her self while still making progress!

Fast forward, and she’s lost over 5KG—her clothes fit better, she feels stronger, and for the first time in years, she’s confident in her own skin. (Yes we still have a couple more KG to go until we reach our goal weight and enter our reverse phase.)

But we can’t deny the transformation that’s happened physically and mentally in the last 10 to 12 weeks has been nothing short of spectacular and we’re honestly so proud of just how far she’s come! We look forward to hitting the next stage of her journey with her, and are proud of the level of commitment that has been put into this transformation and level of trust!

“ I felt embarrassed to even go to the gym with how I looked, fearing of being judged by others on my appearance. “

Dan came to me in march wanting to get in the boxing ring for charity to raise money for his dad who had been diagnosed with a form of throat cancer, but to also lose weight and get fit because his confidence was at an all time low and felt like it could have an effect in the future with things he did with his kids.

“ I don’t want my kids to grow up with that fat dad, who’s not able to do stuff with them cause of his size and fitness”

After a few failed previous attempts over the years, he was worried he would lose it all and put it back on, because of his all or nothing mindset which caused him to give up after making a small mishap.

So when we started working with Dan, we gave him a flexible meal plan one that embraced balance and showed him he could still lose weight without cutting out his favourite foods using the 80/20 approach. So he knew he could still have some of these foods & not feel like he has to give up after steering away from his strict diet.

We also taught him one bad decision doesn’t define you, and you can continue to move forward the same way one bad day doesn’t define your week.

Since march Dan has managed to shift 25KG of bodyweight and also won his second boxing match this weekend. He now has a much more positive approach to his training, nutrition and a new mindset to go with it a more positive one. Here’s what he had to say:

“I always felt with you and everyone who worked with us or who was just at the gym in general, I was always going to achieve my goal, the culture was a winners culture and it made me feel having you all around me I was going to get to where I needed to be. “

3 Fights, 3 Wins ✅🏆

What a bloody night Saturday was for all 3 of these lads, they’ve worked their absolute socks off in training and got themselves in the best shape they’ve been in for a long time and it all paid off and was very deserved!

It’s been an absolute pleasure to coach these lads who I am glad to call my best friends, who deserve a nice week off and rest up.

Can’t write this without thanking the two other people that have helped me this camp get the boys fighting ready, put some good spars in for the boys but have also took the load of me in some sessions so I can make sure the boys have had the best coaching through out the whole camp and that’s & George Martin, I couldn’t have done it without you boys either.

Also a big thank you to their opponents and for allowing them all to showcase their skills on the show.

“Last year, Stress eating and drinking wrecked my body and confidence, enough was enough!”

So January was about to come round, where keiron normally would jump on the hype of Dry January/Losing weight gained in the previous year (Much to the disappointment of the anglesea arms.) But by the time February came around he would return back to his old habits, and be hitting a higher weight then when previously started.

In December 2023, he had finally hit that low and knew if he carried on like this, he would just get worse and worse and nothing would change. He was tired of not fitting into old clothes and white shirts when he had an important occasion, he just found himself going from day to day, with work and family being his only real drivers.

So come January he decided to take advantage of living with a PT - “Took him long enough” We sat down, worked out where he was going wrong and it was clear to see his biggest problem was how he reacted to stress with snacking and heavy weekend drinking.

He would be half decent in the week, to only fall off track over the weekend, over eat, and drink too much, sabotaging any good work he did Mon-fri, leaving him back at square one every monday. But this wasn’t down to him just doing it because he wanted to, it was his reaction to stress, which started to become a real problem.

To help fix this, we used a calorie cycling approach, where we slightly reduced calories down Mon-Fri, and increased Calories over the weekend This way, it helped Keiron enjoy more food/drinks, over the weeknd, however still adhere to the weekly Calorie target. We also educated him and made him aware of his behaviour to stress and taught him more positive reactions to these stressors.

As a result of this, Keiron has managed to shift 20KG of stubborn body fat, Regained a better confidence in himself and his body, he now looks in the mirror and flexes at every opportunity (Showing his best ronnie coleman impression.) & is about to enter his second boxing bout this weekend, feeling the best his ever felt and ready to go.) His now fitting in old medium clothing he never thought would be achievable again.
