Wow… just wow!!

We are genuinely humbled by the incredible support shown to our club during the recent Aldi Scotland Sports Fund competition.

We asked — a lot — and you absolutely delivered. Votes came in from every direction, and we’re so grateful for every like, share, nudge and message that helped push us forward, 2.7k votes is phenomenal 💪🏻

Our Inverclyde community backed us 100%, and our wider swimming family helped spread the word far and wide - we can’t thank you enough.

It turned into an unbelievably close race, and who could have predicted how invested we’d all become or how much it would take over what should have been a quiet Sunday evening. The voting went right down to the wire, followed by a couple of very nervous days waiting for the final result.

Today, we’re over the moon to share that Aldi has confirmed Inverclyde ASC received the most votes and won the £3000 top prize.

An amazing achievement, and a real reminder of the power of community and social media.

Well done to Senjokai Karate Academy and Troon Lawn Tennis Club for making it through to the final 3 and giving us a really exciting competition, and thank you to Aldi Scotland for their brilliant support to grassroots clubs 👏🏻

This funding will make a real meaningful difference to our Club and our swimmers.

More squad selection news 🥳

A successful season of competing has secured Scottish Swimming Youth Academy spots for both Ana and Blake 👏🏻

Ana joins this group for the first time while Blake is returning after being in last years Youth Academy 💪🏻

As part of the Youth Academy they will attend four focused training days at a Scottish Swimming hub venue along with education sessions and talks from specialist practitioners or elite swimmers. What an amazing opportunity for them 😃

Well done Ana and Blake, we are very proud of you both 🖤🩵

Huge well done to our 6 swimmers who have secured their place in the 2026 Scottish Swimming Junior Academy programme.

They will attend 3 training days with other swimmers selected from the West District for a mixture of pool and gym based sessions with some classroom education. It’s a fantastic achievement for them and a brilliant development opportunity.

Well done Alex, Ana, Lauryn, Max Murrin and Zachary - we are super proud of you all 👏🏻

Inverclyde ASC are running a Scottish Swimming Coaching Qualification course in swimming coaching commencing on Friday 28th August. The course will run over 12 sessions with a mixture of online and in person sessions at the Waterfront Leisure Complex, Greenock.

We have spaces available if any Clubs are looking for a local course to develop their current coaching team. For more details or to book a space please use the QR code which will take you to the Scottish Swimming events calendar.

Our swimmers absolutely deserve the recognition and applause; they stepped up when it mattered and gave us many a reason to celebrate over the course of six magnificent days of action.

But with these performances comes an army of support, and we would also like to celebrate those who have been there throughout their journey. Aside from the vocal supporters that were at Tollcross this past week, we want to recognise that first swimming teacher at learn to swim lessons, to the club coaches, the club volunteers, those who volunteer at events week in week out; our technical officials and volunteers supporting major events, and the performance coaches working alongside support staff who help make our swimmers the world class performers they are. And of course, at the beating heart, are the families and friends who have made it all happen and supported them through it all. It really does take a village.

We would also like to extend a wider thank you to everyone involved in our sport, including our partners, the leisure trusts, pool providers, Team Scotland Sportscotland, Scottish Disability Sport The National Lottery.
