YOGALATES is a fusion fitness practice blending the core-strengthening, controlled movements of Pilates with the flexibility, balance, and mindful breathwork of Yoga.

It's a full-body workout that enhances strength, mobility and overall well-being.

🌟YOGA🌟 Brings mindful movement, deep stretches, balance poses, and breath control (pranayama)

🌟PILATES🌟 Core-strengthening exercises, that help to improve muscle imbalances, posture, balance and co-ordination.

It's Wednesday and I'm getting ready to welcome you to my 6th class of the day! 😊

Teaching group exercise classes isn't the easiest of career choices, especially when life is life-ing - and this is no exaggeration - sometimes your instructor needs you just as much as you need your workout!

It is a blessing though to be able to spend your days with people who make their well-being a priority and radiate positivity.

Back pain is one of the most common reasons why people seek medical help or miss work and can be incredibly debilitating over time.

It can range from a muscle ache to a shooting, burning or stabbing feeling, pain radiating down a leg or be aggravated by bending, twisting, lifting, standing or walking.

There is a tendency to shy away from movement, sit still or lie down when an episode hits, but exercise has been found to be one of the most effective ways to relieve back pain quickly.

It's always best to determine the source of any pain before starting an exercise program but once you get clearance the following things can help:

🌟Posture Awareness🌟

Improving the way that you sit, stand, walk and sleep, can prevent musculoskeletal strain, minimize physical discomfort, and improve overall balance.

🌟Yoga and Pilates🌟

The movements in these classes help to alleviate back pain by strengthening the muscles that support your spine, improving flexibility, and correcting postural imbalances. Yoga emphasizes mobility, stretching and mindful breathing to relieve tension, Pilates focuses on improving strengthing the deep core muscles.

🌟 Walking, low impact aerobics, swimming and dancing🌟

Rhythmic, controlled movements engage the deep core muscles that stabilize your spine and help to improve muscle tone and bone strength. They are also an effective way to release natural pain-relieving endorphins.

If pain is severe, does not ease when at rest and lasts more than a few weeks, please see a medical professional before attending a group fitness class.

We were so happy to be greeted by a lovely, cool temperature at this venue tonight, so our Summer fitness plans are definitely doable.
