Camelon Juniors 2013 Reds 💥

We are looking to add to our squad ahead of our second season at 11’s in the central A league. Our team took big strides and now we are keen to kick on and improve our squad!

What a fantastic day supported by fantastic people!

We had our golf day hosted by our team and the 2010’s, 15 teams of 4 played in some brilliant weather.

The aim to raise some funds for our teams and have a good day with some old pals and making new friends in the process! Well we smashed that out the park! Around £1800 was raised! This will go a long way for our teams

We honestly can’t thank the players, players partners and friends who come along supported the team and put a good few quid behind the bar as well! Also thank parents and coaches who helped plan out the day and who worked tirelessly on the day! They know who they are👍👏💪🏻

Massive thank you to Steve and Tracy Braes Golf Centre! Again they backed us fullly with every idea or suggestion and made sure we had everything we needed for the day to run smoothly! The course was looking magnificent 👏

Well done to all winners on the golf and raffles!

I am sure there will be a few sore heads today! I am also sure the old words “never again” were muttered as well🤣

Tonight we say thanks and goodbye to Brodie, Lynne and Barrie.

Brodie has been involved for around 8 years with the team, turning into a fantastic shot stopper. Coming through from fun 4’s to our journal on to 11’s in the A league!

A popular player amongst the boys and coaches, Brodie is looking to move on for a new challange and to keep progressing his goalkeeping skills!

We also say goodbye and thanks to Barrie, Barrie was very involved in the coaching as well as organising football festivals to help benefit the whole organisation at Camelon! Barrie has coached many of the boys from a young age!

Then we have Lynne, always working behind the scenes to help book festivals, sort out prize bingo’s, help book trips to Blackpool, trophies you name it she has been behind it all, looking after kids, picking boys up, dropping them off, even making sure parents are up in time for the team bus with a good breakfast (we will leave that there tho)

All 3 will be missed about the team!

We wish Brodie all the very best in his next chapter! We will be there to support you in the next steps.

Also a special thanks to Brodie’s uncle David who is always on hand to help support the page and has been heavily involved in our up and coming golf day!

Get the hankies ready again!

After our last league game for this season, we had the reminder how harsh football can be. We knew that this (for now) was going to be the last time Zach wore the colours of our wee team!

Zach has been with the team from around the age of 5, he and a good few including some of our coaches have had a long journey together and Zach was right in the heart of it all, bringing our team from development football up to challenging the best teams in the central A league!

Zach is an aggressive all or nothing player who will fire into everything in sight without batting an eyelid.

We again thank Zach for his contribution and we want to thank his parents for again always being about the team and helping out as much as possible!

Zach we hope you can go and push on with your football!
