⚽ Creating a Positive Football Environment at Grangemouth YFC ⚽

Whether it’s a player’s very first small-sided festival, a casual recreational match, or a weekend competitive fixture, creating a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience on the pitch is a shared responsibility.

We’re fully backing the Scottish FA’s and initiatives to ensure our young players and match officials get the best out of the game!

Here is how we can all play our part on matchdays:🩶

Keep it positive: Build a fantastic atmosphere by cheering on players with supportive sideline shouts. Remember, if they’ve had fun, they’ve already won!

Respect everyone's role: Let coaches coach, referees referee, and supporters support. Keep instruction off the pitch so players can express themselves and learn.

Take a step back: Please stand at least 2 metres back from the pitch sideline to keep a safe and enjoyable boundary.

Support young refs: Newly qualified or under-18 referees will wear an armband. Let’s lead by example and show total respect to the officials making the game possible.

Let's make football the absolute best part of a young person's week! 🙌

Following the successful launch of our 2017s and 2018s Advanced Squads, the next chapter begins...

We are now opening expressions of interest for our 2019 Advanced Squad.

Over the next two weeks we'll be identifying the next group of talented young players to begin their journey with Grangemouth YFC. If the success of our previous age groups is anything to go by, we expect this to be another exciting squad with exceptional potential.

Places will be limited as we focus on creating the right environment for every player to learn, develop and enjoy the game.
