⚽ The Black Astro Bead Nightmare ⚽
Oh, black astro beads, you troublesome lot,
You get in our boots whether we like it or not!
We leave the pitch thinking, “We’ve shaken them free,”
Then find twenty more where they shouldn’t be!
They’re stuck in our socks, they’re hiding in shoes,
They’re lurking in pockets with nothing to lose.
We empty the kit bag, we give it a shake,
And somehow more beads make a great escape!
They’re under the seats and all over the floor,
We find them at home when we’ve closed the front door.
We sweep them away, we hoover with care,
Then spot a black bead just sitting right there!
They’re in the car boot, they’re hiding in cracks,
They’ve clearly decided that home is the max.
You wash all the kit and think, “Finally, free!”
Then find black beads in the washing machine!
Mum says, “Check your boots before coming inside!”
Dad says, “Shake them out!” — but the beads still abide.
The players just laugh and head off for some tea,
While someone finds beads on the sofa… again! 😂
So here’s to grassroots, the football, the fun,
The goals and the tackles and chasing the sun.
We love every minute — that much is true…
But black astro beads,
We’ve had enough of you! ⚽😂
