The ones clinched promotion back to the Southern League with a 1 wicket victory vs Kerala Cricket Club Portsmouth 1s
Finally winning a toss, we bowled first. Bowling the opposition out for 216 with a tight bowling display! Aussie Bignell (3-48) and Sampath (2-36) were the pick of the bowlers!
In reply it was a very tense run chase finally getting over the line with 1 wicket to spare. Bignell top scored with 56 and captain King chipping in with 41. Kitchin took it deep marshalling the tail and eventually scoring the winning runs!
The twos came up just short against Solent Rangers 2s, losing by 8 runs.
Bowling first the opposition scored 241/8 from their 45 overs, Williams picking up an expensive 3fer and Cole getting 3-39 from his 9 overs!
In reply G.Tindale opened the batting top scoring with 76 and youngster Mills scoring 43. But unfortunately coming up just 8 runs short of the target.
The 3s all but clinched promotion with a 6 wicket victory over Kerala (Portsmouth) 4s, needing 3 points from the final fixture to secure promotion.
Bowling first, we bowled the opposition out for just 108, Gransden Jnr bowling an economical spell (2-11) from his 5 overs. Captain Higgins picking up 2 from 2 overs!
In reply Ewart got us off to quick start before departing. With DBT (41*) and big hitting Patton bludgeoning 24*.
The 4s were away against Hayling Island Cricket Club 3s and were victorious by 6 wickets.
Bowling first we reduced the opposition to 138/9 from their 40 overs. Bosworth picking up 3 wickets from his 6 overs, and Thorn picking up 3/36 from his 8 overs!
In reply JBT opened the batting and top scoring with a career high of 61, a second 50 of the year. Papa Tindale scoring an unbeaten 54.
3/4 for the Boro! Onto the final week of the season we go!
