Today we spent the day pushing our lads in the sun ☀️

Goole Borough Football Club is growing fast and with the FA football ban over June we set the day up for training with both the Development Academy squad and the first team.

A great showing and lots of support from the sidelines ❤️

Next weekend we head over to Rossington for a competition then in July we start our official pre-season line up for the 26/27 season.

We’re still looking for new players from all backgrounds to fill our 2 squads for the season.

Development Academy team - open to all.

First team - open to more experienced players.

Both 16+

NEW❗ Goole Borough FC Academy Squad

We’re now welcoming players for our Academy Squad ahead of Saturday League entry for the 2026/27 season.

Open to players aged 16+ and all abilities are welcome.

This is aimed at:

• Youth team leavers
• Players returning to football
• Complete beginners
• Players wanting to learn and develop
• Anyone looking to get fit, stay active and enjoy football in a positive environment

What we offer:

• Saturday League football
• Structured development programme
• Regular training and match opportunities
• Friendly and supportive atmosphere
• Pathway into senior football

Players will be supported by a FA affiliated and insured club, qualified and compliant coaches, first aid trained staff, safeguarding procedures, health and safety processes, and personal trainer and hydration support.

FIRST TEAM GOALKEEPER WANTED

Goole Borough FC are looking for a reliable and committed goalkeeper to join our First Team setup.

The Firsts are after someone who is available, dedicated, willing to learn, and ready to develop with a good group of lads around them.

Experience helps, but attitude matters more.

We are not asking for prime Buffon. We are not asking for 90-yard assists. We are not asking for someone to refuse to come off in a cup final.

We are asking for someone who wants the gloves, turns up consistently, listens, learns, and backs themselves.

There are good people at the club who will help with progression, and the First Team environment is there for the right keeper to grow into.

A new pathway is taking shape at the club.

Our Development Squad is built for lads who want to improve, get minutes, build confidence, and work their way further into the club. Whether you’re coming out of youth football, haven’t played for a while, have never really had a proper chance, or just want to get fit and enjoy football again, there’s a place here.

This is about creating a proper environment. Good people, good standards, and a chance to be part of something from the ground up.

Numbers are already looking strong, and we’re working on arranging Development Squad friendlies so players can get real game time and keep progressing.
