🏉 Golborne Parkside U11s Girls vs. Halton Farnworth Hornets 🏉

What an unbelievable effort from the girls today playing away in the sweltering heat! ☀️

We were down on numbers and had very limited interchanges, but every single player put in a massive shift. When the conditions are that tough, you really learn what players are made of, and today we learned a lot. The girls showed absolutely nothing but heart, bravery, and a “never say die” attitude from the first whistle to the last.

To every girl who took to the pitch today: the coaching team is bursting with pride. If we could have handed out an award to every single one of you, it would have been completely deserved!

🤝 A Massive Shoutout to the Opposition:
Congratulations to a very tough Halton Farnworth Hornets team—you girls are absolutely smashing it! A huge thank you to the Halton coaching staff as well for helping to create such a great environment today where all the girls could develop, learn, and most importantly, have fun.

This is what a thriving sport looks like! 🏉✨ We have a massive passion and incredible energy for Girls’ Rugby League at the grassroots level, and this image says it all.

Our U11s Festival this morning was absolutely epic. We were proud to welcome 150 passionate players, spanning 12 different clubs with a total of 16 teams, all playing with incredible spirit. Seeing so many young athletes, travelling from right across the North West and Yorkshire to come together and compete, was truly fantastic.

You all played your hearts out and absolutely smashed it! The future of the game is shining bright.

A truly massive, heart-felt THANK YOU to our incredible army of volunteers. From parking to pitch-side, this massive event wouldn’t have happened without your tireless hard work and organization. And to all the coaches – your dedication to growing these girls’ skills and confidence is unmatched. You all deserve a huge round of applause 👏 and, more importantly, a very well-earned rest after this morning.

Keep on smashing it, girls! We are already looking forward to the next one!

Tough day at the office yesterday, but incredibly proud of the effort! 💪🏉

It wasn’t the result we wanted against a strong Ince Rose Bridge side, but the girls dug deep and left absolutely everything out on the pitch. There was some fantastic skill on display from both teams, making it a great contest from the first whistle to the last.

Sunshine? Overrated. 🌧️ Nothing was dampening the energy of this squad yesterday! What an unbelievable day over in Yorkshire for our first festival of the season! The Golborne Parkside girls stepped up and played 6 huge games against some absolutely fantastic opposition, and they didn’t take a backward step all day.

We had players crossing the line for their first-ever tries for the team, and others putting their bodies on the line and making more tackles than they ever have before.

But the absolute highlight of the day? Seeing every single girl playing with a massive smile on her face. That joy completely translated into their rugby. We saw some of the best performances of the season across the board yesterday, with their confidence and pure ability shining right through those grey skies. ⛈️✨

Beyond proud of this incredible group. The future is bright for the Pirates! 🏴‍☠️💚💛🩷

The away day prep is officially underway! This Saturday, our Golborne Parkside U11s girls are hitting the road and crossing the Pennines for our FIRST festival of the season. 🏴‍☠️🏉

It’s going to be a massive road trip over to Yorkshire, but the squad is absolutely buzzing to take on teams from all across the North. We’ve got a huge day of rugby ahead, with our first kick-off set for 11:00 AM.

Parents, get the car convoy playlists ready and double-check those kit bags. It’s going to be an epic away day extravaganza! Let’s go, Pirates! 💚💛🩷
