🌧️ 𝙂𝘼𝙈𝙀 𝘾𝘼𝙉𝘾𝙀𝙇𝙇𝙀𝘿 – 𝙒𝘼𝙏𝙀𝙍𝙇𝙊𝙂𝙂𝙀𝘿 𝙋𝙄𝙏𝘾𝙃 🌧️

Well… you couldn’t write it. 😂

After what feels like six months of sunshine, heatwaves and enough dust on the pitch to start our own desert, the heavens have finally decided to open and they’ve absolutely ruined our plans. 🤦‍♂️

Today’s Firsts vs Reserves pre-season friendly is unfortunately OFF due to a waterlogged pitch.

We’ve spent the summer begging for rain and now, the one time we need the pitch to be playable, the weather has decided to go full monsoon. 🌊😂

A massive shame with the league campaign starting next weekend, but the pitch has spoken… and apparently it wants the weekend off.

🍺 At least the bar doesn’t get waterlogged. We’re opening the community centre for a beer from 3pm so feel free to join us 🔵🟡🔴🔵

🟡🔵 𝑭𝑰𝑵𝑨𝑳 𝑷𝑹𝑬 𝑺𝑬𝑨𝑺𝑶𝑵 𝑭𝑰𝑿𝑻𝑼𝑹𝑬! 🔴🔵

The final pre-season friendly for the Reserves before the league campaign gets underway next weekend — and it’s Firsts vs Reserves!

Both sides will be looking to finish a great pre-season with a competitive fixture against one another, before hopefully sinking a few beers together afterwards 🍻

The bond within this club gets stronger by the week, and days like this are exactly what it’s all about.

The weather might not be looking its best this weekend, but don’t let that dampen your spirits!

🔵 𝒀𝑶𝑹𝑲𝑳𝑬𝒀 𝑨𝑭𝑪 1-2 𝑹𝑬𝑫𝑩𝑹𝑶𝑶𝑲 𝑹𝑶𝑽𝑬𝑹𝑺 𝑪𝑯𝑨𝑹𝑰𝑻𝑰𝑬𝑺 𝑺𝑬𝑴𝑰 𝑭𝑰𝑵𝑨𝑳 🟡

After 90 minutes of hard-fought action, Yorkley AFC unfortunately exit the competition at the semi-final stage.

It all looked so promising that a cup final day was on the cards when the superb Jack Paterson gave Yorkley a deserved lead after edging the first half.

But Redbrook fought back and scored two goals worthy of a place in the final. The game could have gone either way, with the Redbrook keeper probably picking up the Man of the Match award after pulling off a couple of wonder saves towards the end.

Yorkley tried everything to take the game to penalties, but it just wasn’t to be.

There is a huge amount to be proud of from our Charities campaign as a whole, and we wish Redbrook Rovers Football Club all the very best in the final.

And finally, a massive THANK YOU to our supporters last night. The touchline was packed as always, and we’re absolutely gutted we couldn’t give you a final to attend.

But this isn’t the end.

Now we turn our focus to the league and supporting these lads all the way. 🔵🟡
